Hi, all! It’s been a while. I have been traveling like mad, barely having time to unpack and repack. Things have calmed down over here, and I was able to pick up this Sweet Dreams from my home boutique today. Still a bit terrified of wearing wool, but I saw Fifi’s scarf on Instagram, and it was contagious! View attachment 4399352
So nice to see you back! This is a great choice.

Great theme week posts thus far scarfies! I’ve always hough H silks were easily frameble but my lessons learned are 1) framing a 90 cm silk is very expensive, sometimes costing more than the silk due to proper framing needs such as archival quality materials and uv protective glass. 2) choosing a good colorway fom framing that will work with your interior decor in various rooms is also what I consider. A scarf that I would wear may not be the one I’d like to frame for my home, thus doubling up on cost.

That said here are a few that I would consider framing if funds and space would allow for it. I finally did frame one exceptional scarf that was the perfect size, a 55cmemroidered bandana of Tiger Royal purchased at the Carre Club event in LA. I think scarf size for framing is ideal at pochette, bandana and 70 cm sizes. Wish I had he wall space for 90cm! Please look up the thread on framing your scarves: it was very helpful to me regarding framing options and considerations.

For a pop anf silk that keeps a viewer interested for a while, how about Hippopolis or Fauborg silk by Ugo Gattoni?

And what I am wearing today: Having a blast with a new SS silk Sweet Dreams. Those colorful monsters remind me of the fauve paintings combined with Matisse and Goines all rolled into one.

Have a great hump day all!

All amazing choices and spectacular acquisitions. Simply gorgeous!

Love this post... I’ve always marveled at that snow pic with PaM... Amazing! And I agree about Flanerie a Versailles: it would be awesome framed on a wall... They are all great choices

All amazing!

Thank you so much.,, I’ve seen the navy and I love it. I also have this design in ivory, but wear the red a lot more

Oh, but it’s so glorious tied... polka dot heaven!

OMG the SeZ is fabulous! And so special! And I agree about Equateur... It would be so lovely framed!
Thank you sweetie!
Here are some that would look great in a wall, although I would never frame La Femme aux Semelles de Vent and Mythiques Phoenix because I wear them way too much...

Stunning!! Your lovely scarves, your advice, all of it! :flowers:

The SOTD theme often helps me narrow down my choices in the morning, but this one doesn't help much because so many of H's designs are beautiful as art! Here's what I've been wearing this week:

SaP today!
Fabulous - these are all so beautiful. I really like how you've tied ZP... like a cowboy knot but not!
Acte 3 is definitely a work of art. I have wondered about having a wall in my dressing room painted with magnetic paint so that I could display scarves randomly and change them often without too much faff.

There's magnetic paint?!?
That would be ideal!
And yes - Act III is truly art!
nothing to frame today but GavOTD is Pythagore
Whatcha talkin' about? That's totally frameable - you look smashing!
Lovely!

Have you considered using the wall hanging kit instead of a full framing solution? I agree that to frame a scarf is quite expensive, and it does render it unusable to owner. I feel that with those kits, you can swap scarves in an out, limiting sun damage, but also it would be fun to have thematic scarves (e.g., Tuileries before a trip to Paris, etc).

Having said that -- I have absolutely no wall real estate for this right now due to an art shopping spree, so I am just hoping to live vicariously through others.

I love this CW of Sweet Dreams too. I chose a redder one, but this one was a close second.

Thank you Anna! And congrats on you SD too! It looks marvelous on you! I actually have a scarf hanging kit and we live in a very old house with plaster walls (ugh) and ton of light. That makes for easily damaging walls ( not plumb nor eAsy to affix screws into) and no matter how much we swap out art there will be UV exposure. My framed silk is in a northern light room and I do think it will fade of course in time. The one solution I think would work os a magnetic board affixed with magnetics, but I prefer the traditional framed look on our home vs, temporary look. I’m in the same boat, no wall space but narrow hallways and that makes for difficult viewing and appreciation. For now, they are enjoyed around my neck and shoulders.:idea:

There is....and if it worked all you would need would be little magnets to hold the scarves in place. It would be easy peasy to change them around too!Screenshot_20190410-165602__01.jpg
