Thank you, MAGJES.Good luck on your goal to acquire the perfect 140 CSGM!
It is my favorite format and not as overwhelming (to me) as a 140 silk. I own (4) of the 140 all silks and find them hard to wear at times.....probably because I’ve not mastered all the ways to use it.
OMG you have all of these?! Congrats! Fantabulous! One of my favorite designs of the year....Mountain Zebra.

Such wonderful pics as usual... And this is the JdC I regret not getting. Gorgeous!
Wonderful!
So glad you got it.... It is amazing! And, this is my fav CW, of course!
So glad you share on this thread as I always enjoy your posts! What a wonderful CW of this beauty
Hahahah! Thank you so much! Most of them are ridiculously easy variations on basic knots
Looking forward to a new year in this marvelous thread... Adore these fabulous silks on you... both fantastic!
Oh my! Hoping all is well! And, that Les Bains is a wonder! I would love to run across it someday!
Fabulous colors!
Happy New Year! Wishing everyone on this marvelous thread a wonderful 2020 and decade full of silken dreams come true!
My SOTD on the first day of the year is Into the Canadian Wild. This was one of my most precious scarf purchases of 2019. I had seen this design multiple times at the H store, but somehow never decided on a CW and always got sidetracked. Then, sadly realized it was not available any longer and only offered at ridiculous prices on the resale market. I recently found this one new with tags on and am over the moon that it’s mine. With a few others, it wins the Finally Mine award... LOL! The owl is my Spirit Animal so I tied it showing it up front and flying this morning

Another one of my winners from last year was this marvelous CW of Flamingo Party. FP was the first scarf I ever purchased on H.com in 2015. I eventually got twoCWs and was satisfied until I saw fabulous mod pics of @Croisette7 @Cookiefiend and others here on TPF and had been looking for it ever since. Even after my lucky find of the Miami special edition at the H store, I still longed for this one. So, voilà! Another Finally Mine award winner

After much pondering about this design, so happy to welcome Sangles en Zig Zag to my collection. It has proven to be a workhorse and most versatile design. One of my favs that has become my Fav Travel Scarf award winner. This silk goes with everything!

Yes, was in Sintra. What a wonderful picture featuring an amazing scarf! Was this in Portugal?
Yes, was in Sintra.
Here's my runner-up for the holiday season, the bandana Ex-Libris mousseline. The plaid and green was perfect complement to red sweaters for the festive season without being too obvious.Alas, I only have a pic wearing it back in Summer, not this holiday season.

This was a busy year of scarf collecting - **9** after I counted them all up! Mostly from S/S 2019. Here are three faves acquired this year:
Most Sophisticated award: Pivoines, Blu Lac colorway
View attachment 4628087
Tied for Most Versatile and Most Fun awards: Cosmographia, a dream with my denim-intensive wardrobe:

And, the "Finally Mine" award goes to L'Ivresse de l'Infini, a personal grail ever since I saw this colorway modeled on the highly inspirational blog Hymnes au Carres, when I first started collecting. Recent acquisition!View attachment 4628099

So pretty in green, Jbizzybeetle!Chose Les Bains for top honors 2019 purchases and first day of 2020 because this will be a fun, colorful, and delightful year! Totally a coincidence DH gets a call 6 a.m. apartment fire in one of the 20+ Properties he supervises in our region.
So—had to feature a particular spot on Les Bains!View attachment 4627965

Based on my very limited experience, a 140 Summer Silk is very much lighter in weight and behaves differently to an ordinary 140 Silk Twill, if you want to test the format before you commitMAGJES, I think the mousselines are very feminine and quite gorgeous but I’m worried I won’t wear it if I purchase one. I know there are many on this forum who ADORE moussies. They don’t seem to be a good format for me. Wishing you happiness and buona fortuna in your quest to acquire one (or two....). For my part, as I posted yesterday, my goal in 2020 is to acquire ONE perfect (for me) 140 CSGM. And to try on a 140 all-silk, to see how they look. I was ecstatic to find that the giant triangle did not overwhelm me; in fact it has that effortless quality you mention, but a 140 silk is twice the amount of silk compared to the giant triangle. Well, I should try on a moussie when I try on a 140 silk. There, it’s a plan!!
