Let me think about what delighted me most this year. Off the top of my head, this was definitely my most unexpected find of the year - from the H sale - Hippopolis!

And the overall winner of 2019 goes to Act3 CSGM in the blue/ pink CW.
Love this design in a large format. Depending on how draped and folded, it looks a bit different. The colors are perfect for me as I wear a lot of navy. It also goes with 2 pink cardigans that none of my other CSGMs work with.

Hollywood may celebrate the Academy Awards in February, but us silk lovers will celebrate our winning silks of the year this final week of 2019 with our very own Mademoiselle Soie 2019 awards.

So, let’s choose our categories, look through our files, boxes and drawers and pick our favorite silks from Hermès’ new collections this year, as well as include those new-to-us older scarves that have come into our lives to become treasured favorites.

I will begin by sharing my favorite design from Hermès’ Spring/Summer 2019 season: the amazing Kawa Ora.

In the category of Attained Grails in 2019, the award must go to Turandot, as finally this year I was lucky to add not just one, but two CWs of this coveted masterpiece to my collection.

I have been looking forward to this final week on TPF as a recount of all of my scarf purchases this year has been fun, enlightening and eye-opening. I hope that you feel the same. And, I can’t wait to see all the treasures that will be shared by all as we wrap up one scarf-loving year and get ready to begin another full of silk dreams and expectations.

Excellent introduction, Fifi, and it’s fun to see everyone attacking this week’s theme with such gusto. I love Mademoiselle Soie! She’s lovely and much prettier than most award statuettes, with her robes and silks swirling around her.

I will likely post later in the week, but here’s one I purchased just a few weeks ago: Legende Kuna Peuple de Panama plisse in mustard, french blue, purple and hot pink. I was a bit overwhelmed by the very strong color tones of this scarf once I received it, which intensify in a plisse, but I quite love it now.
