My SOTD this afternoon is the special edition Central Park Conservancy scarf designed by Toutsy in 2007. This special edition carré specifically celebrates the restoration of the Minton Tile ceiling at the Bethesda Arcade and features landmarks including the Angel of Waters Fountain and the Manship Gates, with a backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.

Like Balade en Berline, Wlodek Kaminski pictures another historic carriage in his Coupe de Gala. This particular carriage was commissioned in 1894 by the Chinese empress Cixi and was created for her by the Parisian house of Mülbacher. The original was ornamented by a multitude of scrolls on gilded wood and embellished with jewels.

Beautiful scarf1! That is one of my favorite scarves of the year. It's still in my wishlist (my daydreaming list...)
Thank you both! Thanks so much! Enjoy your family! And looking forward to your pots as I know you got some beauties this year!
Thank you so much!
Not only is Acte III amazing, but this is my favorite CSGM CW of the design
You got so lucky! It is a treasure!
Both are wonderful! You are so lucky to have found them! Perfect for you
Haha! Thanks so much!
Happy to be your twin... And thank you kindlyTwins on the Regina! And I learned so much about the other scarves in your post!
It’s a great one... Kachinas has got to be one of my fav designs of all time... It is scrumptious in this CW... I would have a hard time putting it down as well. I’ve always thought that Kermit Oliver’s designs are perfectly suited to the wash format because of the vintage feel and soft, velvety hand. This has to be the winner in the 90 category. My first 90 wash, my first Kermit Oliver.
This has been worn the most of the few 90s from this year.
The colors are great for me. The matte finish makes it feel more casual to me. ( useful when you live in the land of hoodies and atheleisure). Also, the fact that it is washable, I don’t worry that something bad might happen to it. And it looks great with Navy! View attachment 4626079 View attachment 4626080 View attachment 4626081

I almost ... aaaaalmooost.... bought the Eye of Sauron. Every time I see these cute photos of it, I wonder if I should just leap into it. Oh, do show us the teeth! The standout designs for me were the Carnavale de Oiseaux and Mountain Zebra...

Thank you, Karenska. Better to have multiple Jackies than Warhol's multiple cows.Very witty, eagle1002us. “more Jackies than a Warhol...”. Chuckling as I write...
I subscribe to Pantone's advertising announcing upcoming changes in colors. I could swear that they had a medium pink paired with a medium blue as likely to be the most influential colors at this time (could be 2019 or 2020). Interestingly, one of the Dumas freres pooh-poohed the notion that H is influenced by Pantone selections. Well, Pantone's field consultants must have had a vision of your kachinas that made them prioritize the colors of pink and blue. For that pink and blue scarf is absolutely amazing. This has to be the winner in the 90 category. My first 90 wash, my first Kermit Oliver.

That is eye-poppingly good! I might just succumb if I had some spare cash...It’s too hot here to do a proper wrap (so just a quick photo for now) but you get the general idea of how I wore it to work...

I really love seeing you in yours, refined and sophisticated. I couldn't make any cws work for me at the time, although I should have tried again with the pink.
Thank you fifi ... it is absolutely.Fabulous choice... All look splendorous on you! Pivoines is definitely my runner-up of the season. It is sublime!
Thanks so much! The colors of this Legende Kuna are amazing! And the design works so beautifully as a plisee! Gorgeous!
Such a fabulous parade! I am your twin on that incredible Mountain Zebra. The blue Jungle Love Rainbow is so chic and elegant!
Thank you so kindly, dear Luvbolide!I love this scarf and am so sad that I never found one to suit me. Yours are gorgeous - and perfect with some of your lovely sweaters!
PT: what is the last picture? intriguing.Had to join in for the last week's theme of 2019.
May I wish you all a very Happy New Year
I forget which scarves a bought this year....someone remind me????
It's certainly been a year of greens, blues and blue-greens
Dallet Eyeliner joint No 1 coz (I think) I bought it this year even though it's a AW18 scarf
Mountain Zebra 01 = special commendation award for hanging in there.
Jungle Love in greens/navy = No1 for most worn
Bandana mousseline = runner up for novelty and worn through the Summer
Equateur in Aqua = as yet untested
Dragon Flash ties x 2 (one blue/green and another black) = also untested
I think that's all but let me know if you remember more.
Sometimes I don't wear scarves for a while. I'm just getting reacquainted with CdF in oranges/browns and red and my bleu glacier Cassandre this holiday. I haven't worn these scarves nearly enough - I love them too much. How silly is that? I think Equateur will be like that, it also says Summer to me and I'll enjoy wearing it with my Jade Gucci bag next year. Haven't worn the ties yet as it's only fair to let DH 'try' them first before stealing.
I know I just bought an Alexander McQueen HG scarf but that doesn't count, if it did it would shoot up to joint no1 spot because I've been after it for about 10 years. .
You will surely be able to tell my favourite way of tying my scarf recently. It's not cold in Scotland but it's not exactly sunny either. Folded slim on the bias and wound round tight.
No. 1 award goes to. Jungle Love Rainbow in greens and a navy border has been the easiest addition ever. I never liked this design for me before thinking it a bit too sweet but this rainbow version is much more grown up. I'm not on my normal computer and have no idea where and when I posted pics but I'm sure you know what that scarf look like.
I also love my little green and blue Bandana Moussie that proved to be quite a sellout so we'll make that a runner up. I wore it so much.
Mountain Zebra for a special mention for sure because I very nearly returned it 100 x (very unlike me) as it had similar colours to another scarf. But every time I put it on I just thought it looked fab and just the right mid-range, inky-but-saturated brights that work for me. Plus it looks fab on my head, surely the acid test. It has far more colours than I'm used to though but I've decided to love it as much as it seems to love me. I will award it the most tenacious scarf.
