Thank you so much Karenska!

Thanks xcs! He did! (Though I do happen to know there are a couple more in the stash coming up... :groucho: )

The colors are lovely on you and go great with your hair! (If I tried this I'd have to be dressed to the nines to even hope to pull it off...)

Thank you kindly bobkat!

Marvelous Karenska! And congrats on your Savana Dance!

A fabulous spectacle fifi!
Thank you so much!

Ha, that’s such a cute photo, Fifi!!
Tried to channel QE2 LOL!

Haha, I love this  :biggrin:
Haha... The Queen definitely wore it better

That Regina is so pretty!
It truly is... amazing colors... Thank you!

She looks good. Jackie O relied on sunglasses to take her look to the next level. If you are the Queen of England, you don't need an accessory like sunglasses to pull off a scarf tied under the chin. Just being yourself is quite enough.
I love how she always ties it with a neat bow

Got a Heart scarf ring today and put on my belt, look as good as on Twilly:biggrin:
And today OT Men’s Cashmere Tinos Stole in etoupe
Have a good night
All impeccably styled!

My SOTD this afternoon is the special edition Central Park Conservancy scarf designed by Toutsy in 2007. This special edition carré specifically celebrates the restoration of the Minton Tile ceiling at the Bethesda Arcade and features landmarks including the Angel of Waters Fountain and the Manship Gates, with a backdrop of the Manhattan skyline.

Like Balade en Berline, Wlodek Kaminski pictures another historic carriage in his Coupe de Gala. This particular carriage was commissioned in 1894 by the Chinese empress Cixi and was created for her by the Parisian house of Mülbacher. The original was ornamented by a multitude of scrolls on gilded wood and embellished with jewels.

29 December 2019... Mademoiselle Soie 2019: And, the award goes to... your favorite new scarf this year (plus runners-up!)

Happy Sunday, dear silky friends!
Hollywood may celebrate the Academy Awards in February, but us silk lovers will celebrate our winning silks of the year this final week of 2019 with our very own Mademoiselle Soie 2019 awards.

So, let’s choose our categories, look through our files, boxes and drawers and pick our favorite silks from Hermès’ new collections this year, as well as include those new-to-us older scarves that have come into our lives to become treasured favorites.

I will begin by sharing my favorite design from Hermès’ Spring/Summer 2019 season: the amazing Kawa Ora.

In the category of Attained Grails in 2019, the award must go to Turandot, as finally this year I was lucky to add not just one, but two CWs of this coveted masterpiece to my collection.

I have been looking forward to this final week on TPF as a recount of all of my scarf purchases this year has been fun, enlightening and eye-opening. I hope that you feel the same. And, I can’t wait to see all the treasures that will be shared by all as we wrap up one scarf-loving year and get ready to begin another full of silk dreams and expectations.

I agree on both brides de gala and Kawa ora (and have proudly add them to my very limited collection this year!)

Dear @essiedub here is an illustration of probably the most celebrated of Leonardo da Vinci’s knot designs, which he used as emblem for his own academy in Milan, the Academia Leonardi Vinci. This elegant knot pattern in circular form was created in the 1490s and served as direct inspiration for the Hermès design by Françoise Heron. Besides being decorative and beautifully intricate with mathematical precision, it is believed that the knots represent a play of words on Leonardo’s birth-place as the Latin verb vincire means to fetter, lace or bind.

Leonardo was fascinated by interlacing knots and used the motif often. Another occasion was in his decoration for the ceiling of the Sala delle Asse in Sforza’s castle, where he twisted the branches of the trees to form an elaborate pattern of interlacing loops. In addition, he trimmed the composition with a continuous rope design that spans the entire vault.

Marvelous intro sweetheart!
I also love your KO - it’s an extraordinary scarf!
And two Turandots! You lucky lucky girl!
I’ve checked my spreadsheet, tallied wears, and listened to my acquisitive heart to determine my winners for 2019 (it was a busy year ) and will post over the week!
(My GD is here over the weekend and we are busy!)

Beautiful intro! Love the “award” statue too....perfect! I did know Vinci was based on some of da Vinci’s drawings but I didn’t know so closely!

I love that statuette! Much prettier than Oscar :coolio:
Twins with you on three of your picks for the year :hugs:
Let me think about what delighted me most this year. Off the top of my head, this was definitely my most unexpected find of the year - from the H sale - Hippopolis!
