Oh my! They’re both beautiful!Dear friends,
My apologies for being MIA this last week, as I’ve had a lot of stuff going on and tons on my plate. I will try to go back and catch up, if only with “likes”... I did get some good news this week, though, as these two glorious silks arrived... Sieste au Paradis giant silks in CWs 6 and 9. I wanted to choose just one and so will have to go with the one on the right, but the blue is so stunning and unique that I can’t quite persuade myself to return it yet. Ironically, just recently, some of the SS2020 silks have become available on the H website, but I don’t regret purchasing these at all... Nothing there is quite as compelling to me as these two magnificent swaths of silk. Now, I need to play with them a bit.

Brides de Gala with a charm today — looped through a button hole.
The only thing that is on topic is the Savana Dance twilly that currently lives on my bag, so I hope that is ok to post...
Actually that is CSGM . ( 140)Scarf ladies, I thought there was a how to knot a scarf thread but cannot find it. Would one of you experts know how to tie a 90 this way?

Can't help thinking that there should be dancing somewhere in Ugo's scarves too, apart from the limbo rock that @Jbizzybeetle found in Bains. But I'm too bushed to go in search - starting the springclean alreadyA few more dancers for the week in Annapolis:

Returning to the off topic
<<< lives in the South (Texas), not affluent (but admittedly value and enjoy a few things Hermes) with a lovely daughter who I escorted down the stairs at a ball that supported the local Boys & Girl's Club. A worthy cause in never-quite-as-affluent Arlington, Texas. Yes, she wore an elegant off-white gown (hee hee, she also sang "My Way" at her Senior choir recital) that was more expensive than her Prom dress, but not as expensive as the Prom dresses, chauffeurs and hotel suites of students in the "affluent suburbs" or the cost of my son's career in high school ice hockey...LOL. And, the Hispanic community has their quinceaneras, which can be every bit as elegant as the high society balls. I, for one, am glad that we have not abandoned EVERYTHING from the past and the associated traditions.

Is that your new bag?! SD twilly is perfect with it.
Scarfies, how long do the boutiques keep scarves from previous seasons in their cases? Until they are gone? Or do they have to send them back to H? Someone was asking me about Space Shopping from A/W 2017 and I didn’t know whether they might still have one lurking in a boutique somewhere or if they would all be gone by now.
It sounds delightful! I wish I had one, maybe I would have been more motivated to have learned some more dancing!
Ah yes, it is! The twilly allegedly has Capucine in it, same as the bag, so it does go together.
The boutiques definitely keep things for a long time. I am not sure how some of them end up at the sale, but I know some do. Usually, it’s the Duty Free stores that stock the oldest designs. I know that at least in the U.S., a sales person can do a countrywide search to see what boutique has a specific scarf and then transfer it, so perhaps that would work for your friend?
They are... and even better IRL... I had only seen the more multicolored one before, but the blue one is amazing as well... Now I want the white/grey one, tooOh my! They’re both beautiful!
Well, you never know... I was stunned to see the Flamingo Party Miami edition pulled out by my SA three years after the original date of issue.. I also found a La Maison des Carrés in the boutique almost four years later.Scarfies, how long do the boutiques keep scarves from previous seasons in their cases? Until they are gone?
