Sorry that I was only able to (with great enthusiasm) to like so many wonderful posts and eye candy - so I’m saying many belated words of You’re Awesome!
Back home now and I’ve been thinking about the H journey I’ve been on. I’ve always loved scarves, but I didn’t wear them everyday and often they were big bulky things. We don’t have an H where I live, I didn’t even know they had scarves... until 2016 when I decided that I was going to change myself inside and out. I found a blog (The Vivienne Files) and - zomg - she was using 12 H scarves and building wardrobes around each one. Well I’ll be darned - I read all the posts, started working on my wardrobe and started looking at H scarves. Ahem - as a frugal and sensible Hoosier - there was no way in H E Double-hockey-sticks I was paying THAT much for a scarf (  ) and began looking at evil bay. My first scarf was Daimyo

And it was a jacquard. I had no idea there was such a thing!
In 2017 Mr Cookie finally got me to agree to go to Paris where I visited H in the airport. Because I didn’t find tPF until later on, I had no idea this scarf was such a blockbuster. I just knew I loved the colors. Parures de Samourais

Back as of yesterday with my newest treasure - La Cité Cavalière

I’m not sure where I was going with this - maybe that I have really and truly slid down the orange slope in that I will buy one at the boutique, and more than one at a time! :panic:
(I have even applied H math to justify buying an older scarf at what current prices are - after all if *that* was in the store it would cost as much!)
These are all absolutely stunning! I am twins on the first two, and have La Citee in the blue/rose colorway! But that neutral one is so beautiful!

Well, H-Scarf devotees, after writing this post, I decided to pull out my lovely gold-wheat Paperoles and try it on with a new twinset and voila! Not too fancy at all! In fact, I love it! And I also like the way I tied it. So, I no longer want to think this is a too-fancy scarf. And I’m determined to wear it more.
I think Paperoles is exquisite and appropriate with anything! I wish it would be reissued as a 140...

Twinsies on the tabac Cite de Cavaliere! Doesn’t it just GLOW?????? I swear the darn thing hovers and travels on light waves.

Another thing that has evolved over the last few years is my use of twillies. I used to wear them mostly on my neck (still do, now and then) like so:
View attachment 4595458

Now they mostly live on my bags....

One thing that has stayed the same though, even with the shift in format favorites, is a love for purples, pinks and reds...

One of my first 90's was Cosmos (still have it) in cherry, burgundy and gold:

And the men's Caduce' Rock that I got a couple of years ago in similar colors but a very different vibe.

And bopping around running errands today in the dramatic purple/black/white colored uber giant Flamingo Party pareo again

What did you use to attach the Twilly to your neck? A pendant or a special scarf holder?

Every time you show that CW of Samourais, I think, “THAT is the CW I should have bought” I have 2 beautiful CWs but must admit I don’t wear them that often-

I have to jump on the La Cite de Cavaliere (LCC) bandwagon here...closest I can come to theme is how I’ve changed buying habits. At first, eBay was my bag....literally, I bought the double sens on eBay, then scarves, then I discovered H.com.

It was FW2019 that really changed my behavior: first Le Jardin de Leila, then LCC. A post from NYC led to my calling the SS at Madison Avenue for JdL. And LCC got me into the Dallas H store for the first time.

Already talked about formats THEN and now. Namely started with 90s, but now have a variety of formats with moussies my absolute favorites.

COLORs THEN and NOW :
Ok blue and aqua have always been favorite colors. One thing that has changed is that when I started I wore a lot of black clothes. Over the last few years I have moved to wearing a lot of navy- particularly in the warmer months. Also I own several navy/ white stripe tees. Scarves that look great with navy/ white or navy cream get worn a lot.

lately I have been pairing aqua or pink or burgundy with my navy basics.

another thought on colors: H scarves have actually opened my eyes to trying more colors. However, I now realize that I don’t wear scarves with orange or gold in them, so avoid those in future.

ok, I know you want pix- here are some recent ones

Love No. 2 !!!! Of course, all are wonderful eye candy.

All stunning on you! :ps:I have tried to say that I don’t need another neutral scarf. But this particular CW of cite cavaliere must come home with me!! This season will surely be my undoing!!:faint: So many scarves that make my neutral:hbeat:happy!!
This season HAS been my undoing! So. Many. Beautiful. Scarves.
And I feel this year has been particularly amazing with color - lovely browns and creams, as well as gray. I love my Gray Jungle Love Rainbow.
I keep forgetting how beautifully a 90cm silk can pair with a nice wool outercoat! Must remember to work this look into my rotation. Congrats on your new acquisition!
Thank you!

Yes! When I first saw this one, I had a fierce desire for it. I did try to find an SaP (none in either boutique), but when I saw this - well - I knew it was mine.
I’m sending you a PM regarding this scarf though in a min!

You would love it! ❤️

❤️❤️❤️ Love! ❤️❤️❤️
I’m new to the scarf world so here’s my shabby scarf of the day: Brides de Gala Shadow with the mors scarf ring
Honey - that’s not shabby AT all! It’s beautiful and I love how you’ve used the Mors ring!

So lovely. Truly. I love that pink moussie, the washed Kachinas (such a great CW!) and your Giverny is beautiful. ❤️

Thank you! As a guy, I can't pull of some of the beautiful knots I've seen while perusing this forum. I figured I would use the Mors ring as an accent. No knots, just slipped the right end through the larger ring and through the back and out the left, and vice versa on the left side.
