Me too! I keep trying to avert my eyes...but I keep coming back!!

I know....If I only had the H stock pic to go by there'd be no problem....

Caraibes may have been the first 90 I bought, but my love affair with H started because of Mythiques Phoenix. The affair with that birdie is still going strong. It's a constant in my collection and I doubt that will ever change. I think I have enough MPs in various formats to last maybe 3 weeks without a repeat :faint: (I try not to think too hard about this ).
IIRC this was the first MP I bought. It was off the resale market.

This MP was the first scarf I bought off H US online. My finger trembled, so did my credit card.

And this is my most recent MP, also my SOTD. I really like the 70cm format. Some day, I might divest myself of most of my collex, but these birdies will definitely be the last to fly the coop.

And mine has not stopped trembling since my first purchase!

I’m still a newbie regarding H scarves so I cannot contribute to this week’s theme. But I really enjoy reading all your stories.
My SOTD is Équateur MT with the anneau Régate

It's beautiful against your sweater Queenie!

Gorgeous dooneybaby!

How do we feel about these twillies? Pink or blue I can't decide. I defiantly have BOTH colors equally in wardrobe and thinking about getting BOTH a pink bag and a Constance blue bag so I am torn - HELP LADIES HAHAView attachment 4595707

I like the pic better...but know the blue will be a little easier to clean....

Twins, and twins for buying it 2x! I lusted after it as soon as I saw it in the seasonal thread, and ordered it immediately from the website for store pickup. Then I got there and was really disappointed by the lack of contrast between the navy and black - in H photos it's really strong but except in super bright light it's almost invisible to me. I sadly asked for my first ever return, got store credit - and immediately saw the pareo in the back. Because of the sheerness of the pareo cotton, the contrast is much stronger, and there's more white for interest too.

I wore the pareo a LOT, but kept thinking about the original. On a trip to Cologne, they had it and I gave in. I still don't wear it enough, but it's so gorgeous. I will not think about the beaded/embroidered pillow and blanket...
Hi Twin! I toyed a moment with the exceptional versions, but regained sanity.
The tunic I loved online but alas a Large by EUR standards falls Small by Fat American standards.
The simple tie I used here fails to show off the beauty of this scarf, but it’s versatility for heat/cold air-temp changes can’t be beat.

Sorry that I was only able to (with great enthusiasm) to like so many wonderful posts and eye candy - so I’m saying many belated words of You’re Awesome!
Back home now and I’ve been thinking about the H journey I’ve been on. I’ve always loved scarves, but I didn’t wear them everyday and often they were big bulky things. We don’t have an H where I live, I didn’t even know they had scarves... until 2016 when I decided that I was going to change myself inside and out. I found a blog (The Vivienne Files) and - zomg - she was using 12 H scarves and building wardrobes around each one. Well I’ll be darned - I read all the posts, started working on my wardrobe and started looking at H scarves. Ahem - as a frugal and sensible Hoosier - there was no way in H E Double-hockey-sticks I was paying THAT much for a scarf (  ) and began looking at evil bay. My first scarf was Daimyo

And it was a jacquard. I had no idea there was such a thing!
In 2017 Mr Cookie finally got me to agree to go to Paris where I visited H in the airport. Because I didn’t find tPF until later on, I had no idea this scarf was such a blockbuster. I just knew I loved the colors. Parures de Samourais

I’m not sure where I was going with this - maybe that I have really and truly slid down the orange slope in that I will buy one at the boutique, and more than one at a time! :panic:
(I have even applied H math to justify buying an older scarf at what current prices are - after all if *that* was in the store it would cost as much!)

That Samourais is spectacular, Cookiefiend. The colors are ravishing. Congratulations on your La Cite - it is gorgeous and I love those colors, too.

Thank you! When I put the Samourais on in the store - my eyes lit up.
La Cite is a beautiful and warm color - it's like all the colors of chocolate at once around my neck. Yum!
(I couldn't find the cw on H.com, or in the FW 2019 thread, and I didn't get the tag from the SA - I'll have to look at the receipt!)

Congrats on your new CC! I think you can wear just about any color!

I have this same scarf in a plisse, bunnycat. A great winter scarf for its colors.

And the twilly necklace you created is, as Magjes said, tres chic.

Thank you kindly Karenska!
