Apologies for the triple error above. I've reported it. Dupe postings are bad enough, but triplets :annoyed:

I wore a scarf today which I haven't seen before on SOTD. This is Faites Vos Jeux which is completely about playing various types of games. It's a bird's eye view of four chairs and a glass table. You can see dominos, draughts, scrabble, dice and other games on the table.

The border has the symbols of the four card suits. As well, the entire scarf is overlaid with an interlocking jigsaw grid.

Another scarf which has a jigsaw grid is Puzzle.

Jigsaws belong to a class of toys for older-than-toddlers which challenge the mind to reconstruct an image. H has several scarves which play on this theme where the mind and the eye may each see something different.
For instance, the lenticular ducks and rabbits in this Illusion gavroche, Onde de Chic with the horses hidden in the swirling lines and Sous les Orangeres in the orange cw which has fish concealed in the rippling waters.
View attachment 4588085
Other twists on the theme: in the kaleidoscope (traditional toy!) of Faubourg by Night, Faubourg itself is fractalized. And the Magic Eye effect is used in Magic Kelly and the pixilated Rendezvous au 24.

You are so clever. These are wonderful!
But help me with the Illusion gavroche. I only see rabbits. Am I supposed to also see ducks?

Great intro this week, and so many amazing scarves! In my early days of collecting, I came close to buying the faites vos jeux a few times- I never realized those were chairs around a table! True that I never see it posted here.

Cute cubs on Les Tigreaux are having some rough and tumble games:

ohmigoodness! H has some fascinating scarves - I'm not sure I would have seen that Faites Vos Jeux was a table covered with different games - how cool!
I *do* have a couple to play with this week - thank you for reminding me!
The rabbit ears become the duckling's beak and the rabbit front paws become the flapping wings.
… I also did not see that until you explained it!

Thank you well i dit let it go - and it’s goo

oh thank you Papertiger ! well i did let it go... no regret so far ! And since i have found another scarf - Minéraux.
That was my sotd (not on theme !!! Although i might argue that we can play with these rocks !!)
I have no idea how old this scarf is and the material is like nothing i have seen before.. very thick, with a silvery thread. I asked in the « identification » scarf thread but perhaps someone here has seen this before?
The fabric is scrumptious!

This is fantastic!!!!

That looks lovely.... is there a tutorial for the Fifi knot anywhere, by any chance?

AMAZING!
Thanks so much!

Wonderful examples! I always felt that Faites Vos Jeux would tie beautifully and it certainly does! And this CW is stunning!

xincinsin - Thanks for highlighting these details in the designs. The scarves become even more interesting.
