Thank you, dear. GET THE GRAND LOOP. It is so fun and easy to wear. Also now that I'm experimenting with billowy mounds of silk, it provides a little stability, LOL.
Yup, I noticed the “stability” factor and this the main reason I’ve been considering it. Looks gorgeous!

I *did* actually make your knot (the one with two small knots right near each other) the other day

But I kept it loose. It lets you show parts of the scarf that are often hidden. Like the polar bear in the kayak. (Or is it a guy imitating a polar bear in a kayak?) Anyway, thank you!
How stunning is that!

Way back before the Photobucket debacle, I used to visit the Special Edition and Grail threads to  at the lovely scarves. "Some day," I dreamt out loud. Totally head in la la land because I didn't even set up a search for these. The H fairy heard my wishful pseudo-prayer. And so this year, I practically denuded my money tree :crybaby: because said fairy suddenly and surreptitiously tossed a few gems at me.

Smiles edition of Triples which is also my SOTD. Angled to show the stairs at Montmartre to symbolize my tumble down the slope...

Special edition of Jonques et Sampans for China
I ignored this scarf for many months on the reseller site, until one day, I saw the words "special edition" in the description and took a closer look. And saw the tiny red flags added to the design

The other fount of inspiration/temptation was the HSCI website. I found two almost unsearchable scarves by chance - no name on the scarf so they get generically described. Vertige and the truly nameless pink scarf.

I have died.... So, so special!! One of the things I love about this forum is all that I’ve learned here... Didn’t even know about that special edition with the little red flags! Special, Indeed! And how are “Vertige” and “Nameless pink scarf” listed on the Carrés d’Art book?

Wait - what? The one where you make a rectangle and then tie two knots?
Moma, @Cookiefiend chrstened it the Fifi Knot because yes, my favorite knots are where I keep loose ends tidy so I fiddled a bit with the original LOl

Great first scarf! It is one of my favorites being so dramatic and so versatile... and, the slippery slope is sooooo fun!

Oh my goodness, that moussie! Dreamy! And very time I see you model the Maison des Oiseaux I want it! Your CW has got to be my favorite! So crip and fresh. I better go for it before it’s too late!

Mythiques Phoenix represents my whole life. Just when I'm sitting and sifting through the ashes of broken dreams, a new opportunity and new hope lifts me up.

What a wonderful way of describing this design. You have given me a new way of looking at my life and I will try to live up to this. Especially when am wear my own MP. Thank you x

Here are the scarves that I bought in 2018 - a mixture of new and used. I cannot decide on my favourite, although Jaguar Quetzal may be first past the finishing post. L’Ombre des Pivoines may eventually turn out to be my favourite for 2019, although I am cheating a bit and including it in this list as I bought it in 2018! But who knows?

Is there a demo for that scarf knot? I am knot-challenged. seriously. For a month now I kept a pix of @Cookiefiend's modeling of a brown Jardin d'hiver in my notebook trying to figure out how she did it (plus I like the j de h).

ohmigoodness - I'm so flattered! Now *I'm* curious - what tie was it?
(off to see if I saved a pic of Jd'H - i love that scarf too - such a marvelous mix of brown, blue and orange - which sounds awful but works so well)
I have to try this. It sounds so simple.
It is so easy - truly.
Scarf in rectangle, put around your neck.
Grab the two closest to your neck ends, and tie in a knot.
Grab the other two ends and tie them.
Floof the scarf around a bit to show everything you want to see and BAM - yer done!

That is Fifi’s Fabulous Double Knot [emoji4][emoji173]️[emoji4]

Ooooh! That is such a wonderful CW!! You must be delighted! Can’t wait to see you model it when you are fully recovered.

And you’re just sitting there casually wearing one of THE MOST spectacular and coveted Grails in my life! Gorgeous knot for it... and I’ve been eyeing that pendant for a while now... Goes so well!

I just love the way you’ve put it... Inspirational as always! And this is also why MP has always resonated with me for I am also a Phoenix that manages to rise time and agin after great adversity and trials... In this we are Sisters... So beautiful!
Fifi, I am really honored to be your sister!
omg.
I’ve never thought of MP this way.
I have tears in my eyes.
Thank you dear bobcat1991 - I’m on a mission now to find one of my own. [emoji173]️
Dear Cookiefiend, I truly hope they were good tears. I'm rooting for you find your own MP.

A beautiful sentiment dear bobkat. This will be my new motto for this scarf, and make me feel better that I have more than one of them....

Love this worn with the loop pendant!

Thank you fifi and Cookie! We're going to have a great time next year, I think. (Psst...Cookie change your profile! :P )
bunnycat, I'm all for any thing that reduces our guilt over scarf purchases!
I'm thinking of how many of your bags this CSGM matches, @bobkat1991!

And thanks to TPF, I not only think of hope and resurrection when I see Mythiques Phoenix, I also think "cool jungle chicken!"

I love this neutral, matches-everything Noel au 24F @momasaurus. Your loop pendant is lovely, too! Etoupe or Gris A?

Thank you for all the Likes, scarfies! I get excited by new posts and keep reading on, and forget to express my appreciation...oh, dear. I like your Likes! :hugs::hbeat:
litchi, what a coincidence! This CSGM goes with at least three of my bags....tee hee!

Your positive outlook is so inspiring. Sending hugs your way.
Flatiger, I choose positive....and hugs right back to you!

Bobkat, not only are you the maharani of the fainting couch, you are now also the keeper of the flame of the Phoenix! We should start a sorority :drinks:
xincinsin, I didn't realize I was a maharani....how nifty! (Fainting couch available for any purse forum member in need). I would love to be in a sorority with you. But....no hazing allowed...it seems mean.

I'll join
Welcome to our sorority, FlaTiger!

HermesHope, we can't let our physical condition drag our spirit down! Wear your MP often, and lift your chin up a bit (it not only makes you feel a bit more hopeful, but I find it obscures my double chin a bit)

My next favorite scarf from my 2018 purchases, Les Chants Du Henne. I looked for this for quite a while, and finally found it in Blood Orange and Cream in mousseline! Thé 90 cm size to boot!

This scarf reminds me of the very happy four years that I lived in Islamabad, Pakistan. The very close community of Americans and other ex-pats made me think of a Norman Rockwell small town. I was physically fit (even though my weight said I was morbidly obese). I was well respected, and people sought me out to personal train them, and came to my water aerobics and step aerobics classes. Many got their hands and feet painted with henna in designs such as those on this scarf!

And my other reason:. I received a dot of henna in my forehead, after walking on rose petals surrounded by the love of my classmates when I graduated from my 200 hour yoga teacher training!rps20190102_170300.jpg

OOHHHHHH! So, the scarf ends of the rectangle go at the front of your neck, rather than to the back of your neck. Even someone like, ahem, me, a scarf spaz, can understand how to do this! Thank you so much for illustrating your technique!
