Thank you for your compliment, dear Julide!

That Bains d'Hermes! That just always looks so lucious on you, bunnycat!

Thank you so much, Fifi! Olive green seems to love my complexion.....

Thank you, momasaurus! I think of you as a dear friend, you know?

This whole ensemble is divine, momasaurus! Now I need to try this new knot....what size scarf ring did you use?
Big hug to you, dear friend, and best wishes for 2019!
It's a random sized ring from a etsy seller long ago. Black on one side and mother of pearl on the reverse, so it's quite handy. It's 2 and a quarter inches long, if that helps.

I would call 2018 the year of moussie stoles for me. My love of moussies in this format, plus the news that H is phasing out printed moussies added to the buying frenzy.
The year started with buying a savanna dance in blue/pink and then shortly after in navy. Eventually in May I added the purple one. ( well it was my birthday/ travel souvenir). In the spring I found my first changeant on eBay. Chasse en Inde in the blue/ green format. At the end of the year I found the turquoise/ fuschia one for an amazing price.
In September, I found the aqua Paradis de soie at BG from several seasons ago. Couldn’t believe my luck! I had unsuccessfully looked for that during the season it was released,
And then finally, a mini grail for me- la danse in moussie 90. Haven’t worn La danse or the second Chasse stole yet, as they were Xmas gifts.A1D6F525-33E5-4285-9C3F-353E5B7327C8.jpeg 3073C456-CEDD-45BB-A4B6-B9E8ACE27D78.jpeg FA759560-5C8A-4293-B0AC-1B05EA1CDE95.jpeg 2769B14D-F4A2-4CE6-BEC1-C993B1435BAD.jpeg 2DEC02A5-0B76-42A9-9276-7CB26A595F1D.jpeg 063207EF-9C2F-40F0-B71C-DBDAB165CCB5.jpeg 1F27B2AF-FB2C-44FE-97E0-B262B13D6DB5.jpeg 7594A9A1-41D9-4046-836F-B120C7522D82.jpeg

My next favorite for this year is a VERY sentimental choice. Back in I think 2006/7, my oldest granddaughter Justine, had a wonderful woldog. Maska was about 85% wolf and just really affectionate with the whole extended family. He ran away in late November 2010. They lived on a farm...didn't have a fenced yard. In mid December 2010 my DIL found his body under a backyard shed. He had been hit by a car.

In September 2011, my granddaughter Justine was involved in a fatal auto accident.

So.......in remembrance of Justine and her Maska, I purchased Awoo.

Another big, big hug to you, bobkat.

What eye candy to see the results of your wardrobe overhaul, Moma! I especially like the first scarf w/the striped top and the Act III, it ties incredibly well. Is that the one with the sepia and bois de rose? I copied your Act III pix for my inspiration notebook.
Thank you so much. The Act III is the one with the red hem. I think that's the one you mean?
Also - many ladies here have inspired me with stripes!

These are scrumptious!!!! Great to see them all together in one post.

happy New Year everyone!
Reflecting on 2018 - I purchased quite a few items, but less than in previous years. Right now I am pretty satisfied with what I have, and plan to buy even less in 2019.

This year I focused on mousselines- mainly moussie stoles as that is my favorite format. ( will feature in another post)
And also CSGM.
I love the Samurais design, and immediately fell for the BLUE CWs ( duh!), but they were never available when I went to my local H. Finally in May I found the caban/ salmon one in NYC, and later the Blue/ grey one in London.

Then, in September I bought my first men’s CS 100- Awooo! Fell in love as soon as I put it on. This is probably MVP as I have already worn it often, I find the lesser amount of fabric really easy, and perfect for California climate. Plus the colors in this go with nearly everything in my closet.

Awooo is so tempting - I will have trouble deciding between this beautiful blue and the gorgeous green! [emoji173]️

SOTD is my new to me Perspectives, which I passed on in boutiques and then spent ages chasing. I was too busy (ok, lazy) to put it away so wore it two days running, which makes it Scarf Of Two Days, not just Scarf Of The Day

I hesitate to “like” your post as it’s such a heartbreaking story, but you have found a way to remember them both and look glorious in it. Your approach to life is an inspiration...
