This is an interesting dilemma. I’m not sure what I’d do. I’m a bit of a silly outspoken person so I’d probably joke with my SA saying I’ll have the watch rung up right after the QB
Did you ask for something in a hard to find size or color? That could be the issue.
What size bag? Style? When you brought up the topic, what did your SA say? Mine mentioned at the end of every visit that she hasn’t forgotten and is looking out for me.
My SA also continues mentioning that. And that’s why I feel I’m probably close to it?
I just picked up the gold suede ones with a black sole. My SA held these for me, so not sure if there were any other ones on the floor.
Have you been shopping with your SA for long? When I first started shopping with my SA in 2022, she told me that folks were waiting 1 year+ for QBs. It does seem like the smaller bags MK, K25, and B25s in neutral colors have an even longer wait time as they’re higher in demand. I assumed that unless folks are buying sofas or were VIPs, we were all otherwise in the same queue waiting. I waited a little less than a year for my K28.
I generally don’t ask my SA for anything unless I’m ready to purchase it. With that said, I think you’re within your right to turn something down that you don’t love or aren’t ready to buy. To avoid giving any wrong impression, it might be helpful to have an open conversation about where your goals are and how they make decisions on handbag allocations, wait time, etc. At the least, it can help you be comfortable in making a decision either way.
There’s definitely no clear consensus on spend re QBs, what categories you should spend in, how it resets, etc.

Oh that is a very good sign! I agree with the others - hold off on the watch then unless it’s a watch + bag. But try and see if you could be honest about getting a bag first then the watch after so that the watch can go towards your second qb. Good luck
My SA showed me this too but we’re both sad that it wasn’t available in my size
I told her any neutral. I’ve been wanting one since I don’t have any and it is so cute. Hopefully it’ll come in my size soon or in another color way.
Are you interested in more than 1 QB? If so, I'd get the watch if you do like it. Prespend doesn't reset in the US. I've gotten 2 QBs with very little spend in between simply from previous history.
That was my experience as well. My second QB came in about half the time and with significantly less spend.
