Just came back from my RTW event appointment. I didn’t get an offer but saw few folks got offers in the room
I'm very new to the forum and the brand as well. If I have already pre-spend about 1:3 in the store, and feeling I'm pretty close to the QB. But my SA told me I had a watch I was asking for is here now. Should I buy it? But if I got it, my spend will potentially go to 1:4 and I really don't want that. Any suggestions?
I think you would have to purchase it - of course, only if you want it. Since this is your first time, find a way to bring up your wishlist at your next visit since it’s an expensive buy. I’m hoping your SA will give you a more direct answer since you’ve spent quite a bit already. Or maybe, if your SA has texted you about your watch - see if there’s a possibly that your bag wish might be available when you go in
I would just ask and see what your SA might say. Your SA might just surprise you.
The prespend for QBs are much higher nowadays esp with SF being a highly competitive location. Your SA is giving you a good hint to get the watch to help position yourself for a QB. Watches, FJ, RtW are strong QB baits bc SAs make more commissions from those depts. Getting the watch puts you closer but doesn’t guarantee a QB. You choose to either be on the waiting list longer or getting moved up.

1:3 honestly sounds a bit much to not even get 1 QB yet. IMO, 4X spend should have gotten you 2 QBs by now so I personally wouldn't get the watch. If you get the watch, your 4X prespend would reset so maybe save that purchase for after you get your first QB? Although.. its tricky because you asked for the watch so it sounds like your SA put in the effort to find it for you? Maybe you can respectfully ask about the QB first?
