Hi! I’ve been mostly a Chanel gal to date, looking to make first H purchase. With friends and family gatherings starting up I’m realizing I prefer an understated look. Can’t really wear my Chanels around family/coworkers, or even just walking around in the city.
(1) anyone have an SA they’d recommend?
(2) how difficult would it be to get my desired bag (Epsom bolide 25 in a neutral or pink) without buying a bunch of other random stuff? I know even though it’s not a quota bag it can be highly in demand.
I’ve seen a desired Bolide for sale in a FB group for retail/tax/pp fee which sounds like a way easier route tbh, but figured it might be nice to see items in person, establish a relationship, and know it’s 100% authentic.

I think the bolide size you're asking about is a 27. I'm not sure about epsom since I've only seen Clemence and Swift on display frequently, but a bolide (in most colors) is not hard to get and wouldn't require other spending. I almost always see a 31 on display in-store (and always on the H website). It comes down to being lucky for the color and leather in stock, because otherwise it should not take long to purchase a bolide 27. You probably have to be somewhat patient for stock for the right color and leather, especially since light neutrals and pinks are popular. But it seems like the store is always so low stock and busy these days... so maybe half a year hahaha
Make an appt on the phone, go in to the store, and maybe get lucky if they happen to have stock! And if not, bolide secondhand is almost always sold below retail. I bought my bolide 27 and picotin 18 by walking in before I established an ongoing relationship with my SA.
Timelines for buying in-store is always hard to say for sure though these days... I wanted a herbag backpack and I somehow ended up waiting almost 2 years for that just because they never got stock. I don't think it's that popular of a bag..
Anyway, if you actually meant the mini bolide (~20cm?)- that would require you to have a good relationship with an SA because all mini bags are hard to get these days.

silksuitcase, thanks for the reassurance! I am actually going after the newest bolide size (25) but would love to see it side by side with the 27cm too because I haven’t seem either irl. Really appreciate knowing that they would likely have one or two to look at, even if ideal color/leather choice take a little while.

not sure when but was asking my SA about the colors.I remember one of the neutrals, either etain or etoupe had a long waiting list already. I asked about pinks and she mentioned there arent any

They do have some neutral 27s in stock, iirc a softer leather in etain with PHW on display.

I suspect the Bolide 25 will be in high demand and won't be easy to get quickly right away in a color you want. Patience will be the key!

Pretty funny and sad, but true. I was in the SF store yesterday and I did feel like they are slowly getting things in. The atmosphere around the square seemed a tiny bit better, so I'm hopeful things are headed in a more positive direction. That said, my SA which I've know for many years, was dismayed that I wanted to carry my blanket and RTW purchases in a white bag to my car instead of pulling up in front for her to run out with. Actually I was thinking of getting one after seeing a video of how it‘s made. But I wasn‘t sure of what I would use it for since I don’t ride. Now, you are giving me an excuse to consider getting one again.
