I have my first appointment today with a SF SA! I'm so excited and I really hope we click (I do recognize that I'm new to this journey and won't be her priority), but I really appreciate all your posts here as its very reassuring to know that if we don't click I can try again with someone else. First Hermes appointment generally, and I'm excited about it!

It was nice! She was very patient with me and all my questions, and showed me different bag styles and leathers. She also asked me questions to make sure that I’d love anything I got. While she’s been busy (and so not super responsive to text before the appointment) she was quite welcoming and educational in person. She was so helpful and educational, and dealt with my awkwardness and nervousness (as it was my first time in an Hermes) kindly!

This was very helpful, thank you. I am fairly new to the H journey and have been to the SF and Palo Alto store. Both SA's were very pleasant. I started my journey in the beginning of the year in Hawaii (that was a very pleasant experience as well). I have been told that sticking with a home store and one SA will lead to eventually getting my dream B/K/C. Many years ago, I walked in the SD store and bought a belt set and asked if they had anything special in the back. A few hours I received a call from the SA and drove back to the store. I was offered an Etoupe Kelly 32 PHW and gladly took it home (no shopping history).
I have been told it is quite rare for something like this to happen again especially in the Bay Area. My question is that would you stick with a seasoned SA or a fairly new one? Also any input in regards to the SF or Palo Alto store would be appreciated. I am trying to decide which store to make as my home store. Thank you!
Wow congrats on scoring a neutral K32! I had always hoped a miracle offer like that would happen during my travels :P I agree with all the other replies to you query and would only add - enjoy your journey as this is a marathon not a sprint  Hope you find the right SA for you soon and good luck!

I've seen some clients at SF drop some serious money. There was one client who seemed to know everyone in the store. They just sat in a corner and on the way out there were 3 SAs rolling out carts. Needless to say I'm assuming they get whatever they want in terms of quota bags. End of the day, it is a business!

I can't lie when I say I wish that was me :girlsigh:

About 1 month ago? They had the tan chypres
In my experience, calling is a bit hit or miss.I would still try it because with H...you never know : ) Good luck!

Also, inventory is so fluid everywhere I really believe in just always asking politely. H is a master of intrigue and serendipity

How difficult is it to get an offer for a B25 / K25 as a regular client at the SF store and what would be the typical spend ratio (1.5:1 or 2:1)? I've been a client for 2 years now and I got my first quota bag over a year ago. I'm really hoping to get a B25/K25 next and have spent ~15K on shoes, fine jewelry, RTW and ~3K on leather good purchases since my last offer in early 2020.

I understand stock has been tricky with COVID but would love to understand my chances of getting a 2nd quota offer this year from more established clients.

TIA!

Has anyone been offered a Mini Kelly II, K25, Kelly Pochette, or Mini Lindy (or an SO) this year from the SF store ? Could you PM me if you're open to sharing your story?

Thank you in advance!

So I'm a little disappointed in the SF boutique, but would appreciate everyone's advice here to see if I'm overthinking this. I called the SF boutique a couple months ago to see if I could get on the list for an Evelyne 16 (the person on the phone laughed at me when I asked if they had some in stock), then said they'd put me down for an Evelyne when they get more in store. Fast forward to May, and the SA emails me saying they had one for me in reserve! I was so excited and asked for an appointment that Saturday (it was a Tuesday or something I think). No response, then a couple days later on Thursday, the SA emails me saying that they were sorry but sold the Evelyne that day and I would need to wait again. Haven't heard anything since. Is this a typical first time Hermes experience? Or is the reserve system different from others where it isn't really "reserved" for you?

I’m not at all surprised by their behavior. In my opinion, this is the worst store to shop at in the entire world. I’ve visited many boutiques throughout the world, and I’m sorry to report that the atmosphere is very cold and uninviting at this location. I’ve gotten much better service in stores elsewhere and I choose to fly to my favorite store instead of shopping in SF or Palo Alto location. Believe me you will get what you want at another store and faster too! Don’t waste your time or money at this location. There are many VIPs at this location and they could care less if you’re not not a big spender.

I’m sorry this has happened to you but I don’t think this is a problem solely in the SF store; I think it’s happening in most H stores at least in the US. Especially if one’s not a VIP. Unfortunately the email is the least reliable way of communicating with an H SA in my opinion; either ask for their work phone so you can text them or call the store right away. I’ve had an experience in Bellagio H wherein an SA was offering me a pico 18 even though she said it was reserved for a client. I just bought the last pair of chypre sandals in Crystals store that again the SA had reserved for their client but sold off to me cos I was physically there. And my SA in SF would give me literally like 5 minutes to respond if I want a sought after bag/item or not; it’s like you snooze you lose. If I don’t reply right away it’s sold off to the next client down the list, whether it’s hers on another SA’s. This is also the case with my DH’s SA in NY; but because of the time difference she gives us a few hours to reply, lol. So I have to text them right away. And if they don’t reply back I call the store. If they’re busy I leave a message to let them know to that I called. I know it sounds a bit aggressive, but I wanna make sure I secure the item. Once the SA has replied that it’s mine, then I can chill. Hang in there, it can get a bit frustrating I know. Maybe ask your SA’s work phone so you can communicate with them faster?
