Please update us on your experience! I am facing the same issue here. My local store wants to send my bag to Paris, which will take way longer than having it repaired in-house in the States because of the pandemic. So I decided to personally drop off the bag at the SF hermes, but I don't know any SAs at this store. : (
My guess is the repair required for your kelly can only be done at the Paris workshops and not by local artisans like Dominique, which is why your store wants to send the bag to Paris. Recently, the SF store sent my vintage kelly to Paris for repair because Dominique said he can't do the required work in SF. HTH~

Thank you for that information! Do you know what work was required for your kelly?

My SA told me the local store manager decides where to send the bag to. I don't want my bag to be sent to Paris because I was scared by the stories on this forum about a lady who sent her bag to Paris that was deemed fake by Hermes, and had to be destroyed. At least in the US if they cannot authenticate I can still have the bag and request a return :)

FWIW, the store will request your approval before they send your bag to Paris. If they can’t make the repair and you don’t want it sent, you’ll have that option.

Is Halzan 25 hard to get at SF Hermes store? SA told me they are out of Halzan25. Is there a waiting list for it?
I had to wait a bit (2 months) to get mine, did you ask your SA to let you know when it arrives?
This was last year between the lock downs. I know France went into another lockdown this week, so not sure how their production is.
I am still waiting for my mini Evelyne tpm (6+months), but I am waiting for certain colors.

Hi all, I'm about to start my journey with Hermes this Sat with Terri. Has anyone worked with him before? I'm hoping to purchase a belt and the legend sandals this weekend. My dream bag is the mini Kelly in Crae. I am also interested in the Constance 18 in either Crae or pastel pink. How much $$ do I have to spend before I inquire about these bags?

There may be another Terri there now, but the Terri you may be referring to is a lovely lady. Although not my SA, I always say hello to her when I'm in store. IMO, mini kelly are very hard to get, especially pinks. Maybe others can weigh in that are more knowledgeable.

I'm not actually sure whether they are male or female. I've heard mini kellys are very difficult to get, but I'm in no rush :)

I'm not sure when I should bring it up to the SA, as I don't want to sound presumptuous or anything.

You can always inquire about these bags, even the very first day you meet them, but it’s near impossible to get it right away without extensive purchase history or big ticket items like jewelry or RTW... if you’re in no rush then purchase items you really like and eventually you will get that offer... it might just take a while especially due to low stock.

My first shopping experience with Terri went really well. I picked up the black legend sandals and a belt. I was wondering if anyone knew whether purchasing a less popular bag such as the mini lindy would help in me obtaining the Kelly or Constance? Does only ready to wear and jewelry pieces help build purchase history?

The mini lindy is still a very hot item so getting offered one likely takes some prespend of its own.

FWIW - I don’t think non-quota bags and small leather goods count toward spend for quota bag purposes. The whole idea seems to be to keep the leather goods department from consuming the rest of the business. Fine Jewelry, RTW, and Housewares are the big ones you want to focus on if you’re wanting a quota bag, from what I’ve read of other peoples’ experiences.

Re: non-quota bags/SLG not counting towards spend for quota bags.....Is this only at certain stores in the U.S.? Because it seems - just based off of what I've read on the forum - as if this is the case at the more competitive stores. Unless this is now the policy for all U.S. boutiques! Still learning...
