Saks bonus points

Saks has had so many shenanigans over the last few years and it was what has lead to the downfall of all the great deals. Sa's that rang gift sends for anyone and everyone, employees within the company ringing employee discounts for people. store theft, it goes on and on. Too many crazy things happening blew it. Chanel is watching now and its all going away, the triple points , gift sends...all of it. Sales tax is a consequence of living in the US or buying here. I want no part of having an employee ring me a discount so I can save some money. It makes me mad that this was so abused. Triple points was a great thing.....

I just got triple pts + 12 most MPA a couple of weeks ago on the last gift card event. (All not allowed for gift card were eligible for Triple pts instead). My SA remembered what I was looking for the last event when the only 1 she had received at the time was presold and she knew I only wanted it from her store because they are still non-leased.

It's a shame every perk has been going away...

Congratulations on being able to get another bag on your wish list under the original terms. I don't see why ir should matter to Chanel if clients wanted to put it on the 12 month MPA.... it isn't as though the bag is being discounted in any way. There aren't many advantages for the client in going leased. I suppose the SA would argue that at least the department stores can pull now from a wider range of stores because the systems are all connected whether free standing boutique or department store leased boutique, but it still doesn't;t make up for the perks Saks clients lost IMO.

This week has triple points event. I opened a new card recently but the credit line limit is 4000, not enough for a classic flap medium. My SA said I would probably only get triple points on the 4000 only. I heard it's hard to increase the limit because I have to wait at least a month. Any tips?

Also my SA said my shipping and billing address need to be the same since it is a new card. Is this a common requirement? That's a bummer, I was hoping to ship it to my friend in Oregon to save the tax..

I know most require same shipping & billing (boutiques, NM, Bloomies) Saks let me use different ship/bill, but I don't know if there is a requirement for new cards as your SA says. Why don't you ask the SA to just try, she can always let you know if it doesn't go through because of that and change the shipping address for you.

Hello, my apologies if this has already been clarified. I tried to make a Chanel purchase with the SaksFirst giftcard I received for my SaksFirst points. The SA told me I cannot use the giftcard for Chanel (nor LV) purchases. I was surprised, as I read through the fine print regarding SaksFirst giftcards issued for accumulated SaksFirst points, and I did not read any brand exclusions. Plus, these giftcards are earned! Anyone can confirm this?

I’m pretty sure I’ve used Saks first gift cards towards CHANEL before. I hope that has not changed!

You were probably shopping at a Saks leased Chanel, it’s like shopping at Chanel not Saks. You can try calling around to find a non-leased Chanel, for example the PA Saks store.

I see. She did not elaborate on that distinction, neither did the customer service rep I contacted afterwards, but your answer makes sense. Thank you.

I guess it is only okay to use these giftcards at non-leased locations. I guess my next assignment is: trying to find out which locations in the U.S. are not leased, since this info was not readily volunteered by my SA.
