Great shoes, and boots (love Betty and Lous, every variation).

I have to try on. The LS version and the SL safari dresses were both too classic. If it looks like I'm wearing vintage, I may as well buy vintage. The green sleeveless, has a bit of 'something' more about it IMO.

This season's very wearable IMO (unless you're looking for an evening gown, in which case don't bother unless you're 5'10" and a stick and don't mind sheer or sequins. I find sequins at night naff, sequins are for breakfast!
I must have a look-I used to wear YSL in the 1990’s but I was so tiny even the 34 drowned me, then YSL Haute Couture for a short while when I moved to Paris(heavenly), I nearly bought an outfit last summer.
I’m not looking for an evening gown!

Some pieces go smaller now. I have a vintage LS dress 38 that fits me, I tried a slightly different one last year(?) and would have needed a 40.

There is a slight 80/90s feel to this season, but there's also a tailored Le Smoking jacket that's a remake of a mid-1970s (ground floor - on the right-hand rail).

In my opinion, apart from the zip of some velvet trous., most of the RTW (obviously not your YSL Couture) is better made now than vintage Rive Gauche.

That’s brilliant to know-thank you so much-also I’m not as thin as was 30 years ago..

Unfortunately (before I moved to my apartment in Le Palais Royal, I was living on the rue St. Honore, and used a neighbouring dry cleaner, which was very heavy on my Couture(especially the silk), and sadly none survives..just an empty box from a “voile de pashmina”.
I also had one off HC jewellery in rose quartz by Loulou de La Falaise, but (OMG) very stupidly sold it-it was literally candy pink and the design was stunning.

Oh to be young with the wisdom of now…

ETA 80/90s are actually my favourite era of fashion, although I do love Le Smoking and am missing one in my wardrobe ..

:ps: The colour and silhouette are TDF.

Wine, rust (ground floor) army green and stone khaki hasn't been around for a while for Summer. I think they work perfectly and look cool in sunshine (and I cannot deal with pastels).
I got them!! Too hard to pass up and agree 100% on the colours. So refreshing. I'm pale enough, I don't need more pastels...

Agree, this season is very wearable and hmm, I have mixed feelings regarding my personal tastes and wardrobe.
My SA could tell that there were things I was already not going to be interested in, like the flats and sling backs, and the sheer clothes.
I don't feel like I'm much of a safari-look sort of person? I do like a good jumpsuit, but I have a sleeveless Zimmermann one that I love and I'm not sure if need or really want another one that badly.
I absolutely loved the collections last year, and if money and closet space was not an issue, I would have probably bought like half of the blazers or something lol.
I'm okay with a sheer top, with a bandeu underneath or a corset on top, but I have a sheer jumpsuit from Amazon and I don't wear it that often so it does the job. Not really okay with sheer anything else.
Also not a fan of sequins in general. :-s

I also did not see any shorts, which I was hoping to maybe purchase one if it suited my body shape. As I love SL shorts.

...sigh, this may be a low buy year for SL RTW for me, which is good for my wallet of course, but I often look forward to buying at least one item from each collection.

I love their shorts too! Not always their zips though. Already had one pair repaired.

@sylwip just FYI, this is the SL RTW (ready to wear) thread, as in, it is a discussion on Saint Laurent clothing.

Please either post a new thread for a question/concern or find a thread that has a topic that aligns closer to your question or point of discussion.

Usually a moderator would move your post to another thread closer to your topic of interest.

I would just prefer this thread not to be locked or removed for being off topic. Thank you.
