Event night in London (anyone else that was there too?)

I tried on a blue-black denim jacket I love it, but it's quite similar to a Vivianne Westwood Marlene jacket I have already. This is a 36, but I think I may want a 38

The 38 was definitely too big. In the end, I thought I could do better, SL has such nice jackets, and I have a quite similar jacket (archive Vivienne Westwood). I bought some sunglasses for the Summer though :sunnies:

Maybe the proportion of the jacket wasn’t a very good cut-it had very large shoulder to waist ratio.❤️

I was out for 12 hours shopping today and am too exhausted to post a picture tonight, but, having tried on a lot of SL rtw, I went back and just bought a midnight denim jacket -the black trench coat I wanted had sold since I’d tried it on and I’d bought quite a lot of other things and couldn’t decide between the other pieces I’d tried on.

I’ll post pictures of the denim jacket over the weekend.

this may be a great time to see whats available! I was in love with this specific trench since I saw the 2023 show -that collection is now in the outlets. my local Saint Laurent has a few trench coats and oversized blazers from the previous collection.
Thank you, unfortunately I can’t get to Saint Laurent for a couple of months-even that isn’t sacred as my poor Mum is very ill..
I wish I’d bought the one I tried on.

I have ordered this dress – I tried on previous iterations of the silk slip dress. Was really in love with the white but I resisted my attraction to all things white (second to black of course). Got a very good price on this and I'm really looking forward to feeling that swishy satin around my feet!!
I love the 30s vibe of so much St Laurent evening wear!
Edit – I did not buy it from My Theresa, they had the best photos I could find…

@cecchetti prompted me to post my newest additions.

I never know whether the season is Cruise, Resort or Spring 25. I think we are still in Spring(?). I like this season a lot. I really loved the silk-satin blouses with the 'garter' hem AW24 but I'm not sure even where I work is ready for them  I know the jackets coming in for Summer are going to look a bit oversize on me. I like the look, but I have enough of those. I wanted something more fitted. I also wanted something beyond just an another pair of black trousers.

Most of my SL LS are double-breasted. Often the single's are exaggeratedly low to elongate the look My SL SA convinced me to try the single-breasted LS jacket with the strong (but not exaggerated) shoulder line and peaked lapel. The single button comes-up perfectly on my frame 5.5'. I think I will get so much wear out of it. I'm usually a 38, I bought the 40 in this jacket and fits perfectly, even the arm length is spot-on.

The trousers are amazing. I could not, not have them. They are a 'piece' on their own. The hero trouser/pant. These are TTS and I bought the 38.

I hope the alteration doesn't ruin them. I wish I was 6', the shape won't look so handsome on me but I but with Bianca's or high wedges they'll look the look. If they cut too much off I will scream.

I also bought these. Made in Japan metal frames. I think they are from AW24/25 but they look phenomenal with the jacket and fit across the temples better than my last pair of SLs (although I still love them).

Deco is timeless. I definitely think you chose the right colour. Have you worn it yet?
