I wonder if they are getting items from the manufacturer after the sale ends, as opposed to having readily available stock. I don't mind so much the longer shipping, since they do have some good deals.
My big issue with them of late is returns. I rarely return items, anywhere. And when I do, something has to be defective or described wrong to prompt a return. Recently I ordered a Baccarat crystal bracelet whose size was incorrectly stated. When I got it, I called to return. The Ruelala rep said I would still have to pay the initial shipping cost, but they would cover the return shipping. This just ticked me off. Why should I be penalized for their failure to describe something correctly. After the rep talked to supervisors, they agreed to refund in full.
Then today, I wanted a Lois Hill cuff. But there was no description of width...was it 1/2" or 1.5" in width??? I called to ask the width and the rep said they do not have that information, and suggested I do a search for it on the web. How idiotic is that. As a former marketing manager, I'd say their marketing department has a lesson to learn.
I think I am through with them for now.
