I'll have to dissagree with some of you, I though she looked like she was very overwhelmed, and she had been crying.
And I know you can say she may had been tired, but still I would have thought she would look more radiant and happy. I felt sorry for her. Now is when a marriage is going to put under stress, I don't know if there marriage will be able to handle it. This is my IMO.

I thought exactly the same. I figured that this moment was probably the most vulnerable in her life; literally hours after giving birth to her first baby, exhausted, and she's probably never been so stalked, and she still has to look amazing. In the heat. Which she did, of course. Overwhelmed would be putting it mildly! Friends of mine I saw in the hospital in the same time frame that she left the hospital were swearing that they've 'shut up shop' so to speak and will never go through another labour again (which of course wasn't the case).

William looks wonderfully relaxed, as did the grandparents, so the tension doesn't seem to be more than expected. Apparently there were hundreds more onlookers and press for Baby Cambridge than William.

Meanwhile, I love how seriously cuffed QEII looked! Her face and smile we're beyond priceless. She does florals like no one else.

So sweet! My heartfelt best wishes go out to the young family, and especially to the baby for a long, happy, healthy and fruitful life.

I believe the pictures of Charles and Diana vs. Will and Kate can't be compared. Charles and Diana were ill-matched from the beginning, with Charles' heart belonging to someone other than his wife. Diana didn't have the chance of a snowball in hell, in all of her youth and innocence. There was always sort of a "stiffness" when she and her husband were next to one another. It was a charade and Diana was an unhappy woman, caught like a deer in the headlights, helpless in many ways. Diana loved her children deeply, and I'm sure Will remembers his mother at this moment, a bittersweet time.

Will and Kate. Their love for one another shines through, they are at ease.

A friend of mine (who has 4 kids) startled me last night by saying "I don't know why she picked such a light dress when she was haemorraging buckets!" :faint:

I thought she looked fine, if a bit quiet. She said about one full sentence. But thats her - she's a deeply reserved person. We're never gonna see her well up, y'know? Even 24 hours after her first child's birth, she's a professional. William was far, far more relaxed.

She looked pretty, let William do all the talking and adorable baby-carrying, smiled sweetly, and then got back inside within about 3 minutes.

Kate seems like a nice person, but she's one of the few Royals I absolutely cannot imagine having a conversation with. She's just too guarded. Its possibly the reason some people in the British press have enjoyed gleefully describing her as basically a baby-making robot.

But then she has to be tough. The Queen called around at 11am this morning. Can you imagine?? Having to be showered and dressed and groomed and fragrant at 11am the morning after baby's first night home? Nightmare!

I saw them leaving the hospital on TV, and they both looked very happy, even if Kate looked slightly tired.... I'm amazed at how one can leave hospital just 24 hours after giving birth, the day after is always the worst: I was knackered the next day and my deliveries were all very smooth.

Anyway, I'm very happy for them, they're a lovely family and I wish them all the BEST!!!!!

William and Kate left Kensington Palace and headed to her parent's home in Buckleberry.

Can some ID her top?

Letizia also chose white as she and Felipe attended a journalism award ceremony today.

The shoes are a little too chunky butI still love the dress. When she wants Letizia can dress extreme well. Journalism is her first love so she turned it up a notch.

George? It's a little old fashioned. It's also in the running for Prince Charles' name when he become king. That would make it a subtle homage. Prince George sounds nice. Louis is a nod to Louis Mountbatten who was killed by an IRA bomb who was a mentor and friend to Prince Charles.

No, she didn't, but they can if they want to. Her father King George V was actually named Bertie.

I believe (though I don't have a reference) that Charles has in recent years signalled his intention to remain Charles, though I seem to remember there were rumours many years ago that he was toying with becoming a George also.
