I am a devoted follower of this thread and I have not heard any negative comments on the inclusion of news with this style thread, honestly we all like it the way it is!! JMHO:flowers:Swanky I really hope that thread is not changed!!:flowers:

Same. We don't really gossip in this thread. We share opinions and knowledge of the royals/protocols/history etc.

Crown Prince Felipe and Letizia visit the Cervantes Institute today.

I love the color of this dress. I don't think the suede shoes work with flowy fabric of the dress. Also, it's a tad too short for my taste.

William and Catherine left the hospital after the birth of their son. Kate wore a turquoise dress with white polka dots. She looked amazing after giving birth. Prince Charles and Camilla and Michael and Caroline Middleton also visited the young family before the young family left the hospital. Camilla wore a simple white dress and pearls while Carole wore a pretty floral dress.

Oh I very much doubt Kate is trying to ape Diana - doesn't seem her style at all, tbh. Its probably a coincidence and everyone is getting very excited about some random dots. :p

I was quite suprised she chose such a maternity look. So many of the EU royal mother utilise a strategic coat to disguise their figures. But I kinda love that she was just rocking her post-birth bod.

I thought she looked great, but it was quite breezy and her hair kept flinging itself in her face. I'm sure her hairdresser who came to the hospital was raging about that!

I agree, it looked almost like a hospital gown when she walked out, the colour is very much what UK hospitals look like, Id probably chose something rather different myself but I suppose her outfit wasn't her main priority in the circumstances!

Queen Elizabeth II says she "thrilled" with her new great grandchild as she received winners of
a innovation prize at Buckingham Palace today.

This dress looks like curtain fabric.

Hmm, a bespoke (Diana-esque polkadot) baby blue dress for Kate? Which happens to colour coordinate with social gender norms for newborn boys, and matches husbands shirt? -Was the sex a secret at all?? It's hard not to get dragged into puzzling the coincidences together, but I'm really too thrilled about her seemingly adequate skirt-length to care!:yahoo:

She looks fabulous however, no matter how the dress appeared from a distance. A perfect moment that captured the emotions more than anything else - no outfit could possibly kill the spark from that naturally happy aura we got to see today.

She really looks wonderful, doesn't she? She picked the perfect look for exiting the hospital. She may have
gotten the dress in both pink and blue. I can't speculate on the Diana coincidence but seeing the 2 videos of first Charles and Diana with Wills then William and Catherine leaving the hospital 31 years later, I think the similarity is a bit convenient to be a totally coincidental. I'm even wondering if they used the same swaddling blanket. That's what a friend of mine did when she gave birth. They used the same sweater with which her husband's mother brought all 5 of her babies home.
