the ones that are nice, yes. the ones that walk right by me without saying hello? no. they scare me.

i called my landlord and let him know. unfortunately he doesn't think the building needs a main door lock.

can't wait till we have our own home one day

I'd talk to the landlord again and demand he asks all the tenants. I'd also tell him that I'd disagree about the lock. If he thinks it's not needed then it means one of the tenants took it which brings me back to him talking to the tenants. I think it is his responsibility to keep the property safe. I'd demand him to pay for the package.

When I lived at an apartment complex, we only had small mailboxes, so the packages were always delivered at the main office and somebody there received them. We never had any issues with packages.

Sorry to hear what happened! Last month I had two packages stolen from our vestibule. One was from Coach FOS. I'm in a very lovely area but thieves come to lovely areas to "go shopping." Our vestibule is unsecured and if the delivery is left in one area, anyone walking by can see them.

I've been following this thread, hoping that you'd have a good outcome fashionista1984. Has there been any news?

Unfortunately, no good news. I've done a chargeback with my credit card, and paypal has opened up a case for the seller. She will show it was delivered, I will lose. that will be that.

On the other hand, a lovely posher sold me her Coach Sophia Satchel, which is in mint condition, for $50. It's not rose gold, but I hope it reaches me (shipped it to my parents home in NJ so when I visit I will pick it up) and it is a consolation prize.

Here is a link to the same bag but not the one I purchased:

What happened with your bag OP? Did it ever show up?

Nope :(

In the middle of a paypal/chargeback dispute now. I know it's not the seller's fault, but I needed some method to recoup my money. My credit card has refunded me and I think Paypal will rule in her favor because tracking shows delivered.

I am not sure what happens next.

Keep us informed. I wonder if paypal will charge the seller.

This is just so sad. I feel bad for you and the seller. I hope it turns up eventually. I will keep my eyes out for another Rose Gold Sabrina.

Why should the seller be responsible....or even the postal service? The item was delivered and it seems it was the fault of the building management that it was stolen. The building does not have a secure way to insure packages are safe until the owner picks them up. Definitely not the seller's fault or responsiblity......or the USPS.

Oh, and may karma come by and bite the thief in the butt for stealing your bag!

I was hoping to pop back in here and learn the bag was found. What an unfortunate outcome. Whoever took the bag probably does not appreciate how rare a find it is either. Curse them!
