Hi, do Hermes in Italy (going to the Rome, Florence, Venice and Milan stores) do the VAT (IVA) refund at the counter? Or do they charge it and you have to do it all at the airport?

No. You do vat refund when you leave eu. They do give you the forms at the store. Best to have your passport with you

Hi, simpledream! I just PMed you. I hope my humble contribution can be of some help!
In my experience, all the SAs in the Rome Flagship Store were really nice with me every time I was there. I've seen GPs on display and I don't think it's necessary to contact an SA in particular for a GP or any bag on display. I don't know about the availability of colors though, as those are the ones which are requested the most. I really hope you can find the perfect GP! Please, keep us updated!
