At Fiumicino I recently bought a black Swift Citizen Twill card holder and the price was € 234,00. On the Italy Hermès website the price is € 285,00. That corresponds to 22% Standard VAT rate, which is the percentage informed by Global Blue on their website for Italian fashion, textiles, leatherwear, jewellery, etc: http://www.globalblue.com/tax-free-shopping/italy/Thank you very much. Hi, I was in Rome in January. I too wanted to get a neutral color Lindy in size 26. I bought a diamond/steel Medor watch at the Rome boutique and asked for a Lindy or a Kelly. They did not have the Kelly and for a Lindy, they only had a bright blue color which I did not like. But this was for size 26 which they said was "extremely hard to get". When I did not buy it, they were very surprised. I think at the Rome store, you really have to be in luck and you really need to purchase something before they actually show you something. Before I got the watch, they said no Lindys and B,K,C.After reading about the horror stories of waiting in line or by the phone all day to just get an appt at the Paris store, I was wondering how hard it is to get into hermes in Rome and Florence? I will be in Florence for 4 days and Rome for 3 days all which only 1-2 days in each place are dedicated to shopping. I really do not want to spend a whole day just waiting for an appt like in Paris. But I am very looking forward to hopefully getting a Lindy. Can someone please let me know if it's hard to just walk into the Hermes store in Rome and buy a wallet (and hopefully a Lindy)? Or would I have to spend a whole day waiting for an appt?
I was really hoping to shop in Rome since that's my last leg before I leave Italy. However, I don't know if I have enough time. If not, I may have to shop in Florence and lug the stuff around. Please advise! TY
RomeHello all!
I will be going to Rome next month for the first time and coincidentally am in the market for a few Hermes purchases lol! Specifically I would like a pair of Oran sandals and an Evelyne and my question is would it be cheaper to purchase while in Rome or just buy here in the US?
Thank you!
Hi, I bought a Evelyne-PM at Rome last year Dec, SA are helpful , friendly and not crowded at all, I went in afternoon but limited colour. I suggest you purchase at Rome cos chances of getting item you want are easier. However, if you are going to Florence to get your item, there is no bag (as per SA)but many Oran sandals and also belt, etc. Show us your goodies when you backHello all!
