Rogue discontinued?

I heard the made to order (MTO) rogue will remain. Hopefully that is true. If so, down the rode, rogue won’t have any discount on it. In fact, if they discounted massive producing rogue just because they want to offer the exclusivities to MTO rogues, then it’s a great move!
Bring on the massive discount on the rogues.

If the rogue truly gets discontinued I think it will be likely for me to move away from the brand a bit, this was their flagship bag for the last few years and I think it would be a shame to completely end this style, I hope it lives on in some form even if it is more limited.

It seems like it has been very over saturated lately in store but I never really see girls carrying coach rocking a rogue I think that is because the price range is higher end and they are doing better with the mid-tier pricing on other styles also with steep discounts. Us rouge people will continue to use our bags way after the logo frenzy ends, this bag will live on in some form I am sure or will make a resurgence down the line. the quality we have now is unmatched for the price point.

Stock up now I guess and we will see what comes down the line. hopefully, there is still hope for the rouge living on!
This feels like my last hurrah with Coach too, but who knows. I’m not really looking to add any bags at this point; I’m more than covered. I’m glad I got into Coach in a big way in 2016 when 1941 items were being released fast and furious and before features were being eliminated to reduce costs.

It is true. I stopped in the Coach boutique store tonight to buy a Rogue 25 before the end of the current sale. The SA said the Rogue is discontinued and once the inventory is gone that’s it. Today is my lucky day, though. I have been wanting the Chalk/Brass Rogue 25 but it is sold out. While I was in the store considering another color I commented that I really wanted the Chalk/Brass Rogue 25. The SA said she could check the computer to see if it could still be ordered. No. But, she then said it showed she had one in stock. I could not believe it. She went in the back and brought out a brand new unwrapped Chalk/Brass Rogue 25! She said I probably got one of the last ones. Today is my birthday - Happy Birthday to me!
Congrats & Happy Birthday!!

I don't personally feel that the end of the Rogue means the end of quality bags for Coach. Coach moves on with new bags on a regular basis--they will make a ton of a certain style, and eventually it gets discontinued. Eventually new styles come that replace that as the bag everyone wants (sometimes that takes a bit of time, but thinking about all of the past popular styles that have came and gone it seems to be the case).

And keep in mind, the Rogue wasn't the "it" bag for everyone. I like the Rogue, and I can see the appeal, but I am also okay without it. There are a range of styles for many interests, and they will keep coming up with something.

I agree with most of what you said. But I still think Coach should try to keep some consistent classic styles around. Don’t the higher end designer handbags do that? And I thought that was Coach’s goal to become more designer like.

I don't disagree that they should keep a style or two around. I was mostly saying to all of those that were assuming the end of the Rogue meant the end of quality, that I didn't agree with that. I don't think that discontinuing a style affects the overall quality of Coach. They have been discontinuing for years, but have found a way to keep the quality up on most of the styles (not all, but most).

I agree!

I wonder if they discontinue a style because sales have declined. Except for the Coach lovers and buyers on this forum, I wonder how others feel about spending so much on a Coach bag. While I think the bag is beautiful, I have never purchased one because of the price point. I have, however, purchased many Coach bags in my lifetime. It's the same way I feel about them bringing back the Willis at $500. Even though I understand that costs have increased to produce it, I would much rather have the original version. As for designer brands and their classics in comparison, people will continue to buy the Speedy even when the price continues to go up. I would imagine that if Coach produced a bag that would sell well no matter what the price, they would keep it around.

I know the Rogue sold well, and I also know that other styles like the Borough and Phoebe (and other styles) were top sellers as well as the Edie. Coach simply stops making some bags for some reason although it's not necessarily based on sales. I have no idea what their criteria is, and from what I've read on this forum, no one else does either. Of course, I could be wrong.
