UPS just dropped off my black python rogue, I'm disappointed. The long straps were pulled over the bag making 2 huge smiley faces and the feet are all scratched up. The black matte finish is scratched so deep on the feet that silver metal is already showing through.

I'm definitely not keeping this bag. Now to decide if I should do a return, exchange for a better black python, or see if there are any of the cornflower python left.

Noooo that's terrible! UHG!!!! Why can't they get their "s" together??? A $1200 exotic bag shipped in that condition?? SMDH. Grrrrrr. So sorry. You must be really disappointed. :cry:

I'm sorry. That's horrible. I was really looking forward to seeing your black exotic. Which color do you really want? The python cornflower is stunning. The exotic accents really change the look of the bag. However, the black is year-round and I suspect that it is equally as beautiful. I look forward to seeing pics of whichever you choose....:smile1:

I went from being a 5 year old at Christmas to a crabby old lady, according to DH lol I really thought that they would have been more careful for such a high priced bag.

I've now had countless bags from JAX come with scratched up feet. I assume that the workers must be in a hurry to ship out so they get sloppy with handling. The bags must be on some sort of hard surface when they are prepping them to be sent out and the employees mist be sliding the bags across the hard surface. My 2nd oxblood rogue had identical scratches on the feet.

You must be right about the handling. I just checked mine and it also has scratched feet. I know I didn't do it because I've been treating that bag like a newborn baby. It's also strange that many of the suede rogues had nearly identical scratches on the back side of the bags. I figure the bag will get beat up over time anyway and the issues aren't noticeable unless specifically looking for them, so I'm just letting it slide.

BUT... if I'd bought the python and it showed up in the condition you describe I would be heartbroken and furious.

I will take pics later today or tomorrow before returning it. I love the black but the gold stitching is kind of bugging me, just not a fan of it with the black hardware and grey python. From 5 feet away the bag is absolutely gorgeous but once I get closer the stitching just doesn't match. The same exact color stitching is on my oxblood but I love it on that bag, looks great with the oxblood and orange leather. I debated between black and cornflower but thought I could get more use out of the black.

I'm still undecided, I will probably go to my boutique to have them process an exchange. I'm hoping maybe if they order a new one they can have it shipped in factory packaging so that the feet don't get ruined. I still might just end up returning though too. I really wanted something with python on it though. I know it's coming out in a olive green soon but I think I like the current colors better. I'm also still a bit peeved that 1 of my dogleash clips on my oxblood doesn't work. I don't want to go through the hassle of buying and returning yet another bag though. The vast majority of my returns are due to problems with bags, I wish coach would increase quality control.

I think I probably get annoyed by scratched feet, handle indents, scratched leather, etc more than most people. It's a mix of being like that since I was a kid (used to examine every stuffed animal at the toy store to find the most perfect one lol) and the fact that 9 times out of 10 coach sends me a bag with a problem that most likely was caused by sloppiness from the person shipping my bag.

Man, so inconsistent, too! A Coach chat person told me the interior of the black python would be the orangey suede color and I have seen pics of them both ways (black or orange). It was because I was scared about that I shied away from the black python. I agree that the yellow stitching looks a little odd. Would look better if the interior were not also black.

And LOL at you checking your stuffed animals!!!
