Yes. The hinge around the handle swings both ways. However, if left for a long time, it can burn imprints on the leather that shows outside.

They sure can! Especially the 39s, 36, 30/31s, and 25s. The smaller ones, I feel like I have to really contort the leather to get them fold in. They probably do fold in ok.
Thanks ladies for your answers. I'm not a "handle" carrier, as I always seem to have my hands full with other stuff and I do not care for the looks of the handles outside. I was playing with the idea of getting the 25 (as 10" is my goldilocks size) and I like the capacity of these bags but was worried about shrinking the possible capacity with the in-folded handles . @saugalady 's mention of imprinting is well noted, though even though I would not store the bag that way, I feel, the handles could still imprint just by carrying with other items stuffed in those outer pockets. Hmmm more thinking on this is needed

From today's reloved drop, this Rogue was probably my favorite. For the price, I'd rather get the new Loved Leather Empire 40.

Their reloved pieces are really pricey IMO. Beautiful but too spendy for me.
