Yay the Queen was back doing online meetings yesterday I hope she continues to improve

At the weekend she went to Frogmore in the grounds of Windsor and met William late and the kids and Beatrice and her new baby so sweet

Many years ago the Queen hosted Putin at Buckingham Palace - a blind politician was there and his guide dog would not stop barking at Putin - very Embarrassed the MP apologised to the Queen for his dog - she leant and stroked the dogs ears straightened up and whispered in the mans ear “ I find dogs are such perceptive intelligent animals don’t you ? “

I thought of QEII the other day when there were articles that Putin’s gymnast wife/partner is apparently in some sort of gussied up bunker with their 4 children. Hard not to contrast that with the then King and Queen refusing to leave London - or to let the 2 princesses leave London -during WWII.

I heard a story a while back (probably NPR) about Russians and where they park/hide their assets. One thing they talked about was a mistress of Putin who had Very Expensive real estate - in the middle east and other places - in her name (like the highest price condo in the world or something to that effect). As I recall she had a child (Putin's). It wasn't understood whether the assets were really hers or just him hiding money by putting it in her name. I guess this is a different woman from the one you're referring to?

I feel like it’s a mix of him hiding money in others names and taking care of his kids. Even though she’s just a mistress the kid is his and that makes them a automatic target for many governments/countries so I’d imagine that both his mistress and kid have a high level of protection 24/7.
