Hey everyone.. My husband and I are going to Hong Kong and Japan with our 1 year old son for the first time with a child. I am thinking about getting a new luggage to kick off our trip.. And hopefully it will last long and gives us good memories with our travel with our son.

Can someone recommend a good size for us? It will be my first .. My other luggages are from Tumi. Also.. Do you think it's worth the money to get a check in one as they will probably throw my luggage anyways so a carry on size is better? Thoughts?

Thanks!!!

Are your current suitcases no longer working for you? If they still meet your needs, then just buy new ones that match those sizes.

It's a shame to abandon the Tumi though.

My husband and I are traveling to Europe for two weeks this summer and I've ordered each of us a Salsa 28 trunk in gray (me) and black (him). I also want to get myself a carry-on, would you recommend the regular Salsa deluxe or the hybrid? (Is the hybrid worth the extra $100?) And dark gray or silver? I'm excited for our first Rimowas, we each have a Tumi that we really like but they're so much heavier!

I vote for Salsa Air as they are so light which is a huge plus for carry-on!

I have the salsa deluxe IATA carry-on and find it light and easy to maneuver. The hybrid seems great to be able to put papers, plane tix, or small items that you may want to easily grab if needed. I wish the salsa deluxe carry-on had a small compartment for such items. The only issue I personally had with the hybrid was that I personally didn't really like the way it looked. But it does seem more practical.

i suggest the salsa air for a cabin trolley. :)

Thank you both for the feedback! I was looking at the Salsa Air also, but sometimes I like to stack a tote like this on top and wondered if it wouldn't work since the handle on the Air is a single pole? ImageUploadedByPurseForum1459513857.849284.jpg

Thank you! I agree that I prefer the look of the deluxe...and a lot of the small stuff that would fit in the front pockets I usually have in my handbag or tote instead anyway...

I usually don´t have a problem "stacking" an extra tote on my Salsa Air as long as I use it on 4 wheels. As soon as you tilt it and use two wheels only it might be more difficult... Hth!
