oh really? You own an authentication company? Funny, I don’t see the real real or authenticate4U or those other authentication companies threatening to sue ppl when they claim they’ve received fakes. Hmmmmmm. Maybe you should take two seconds and think about why.

I doubt you got your attorney involved because as I stated I AM an attorney and can tell you that what has transpired so far would be laughed out of a courtroom. So either you’re lying or your attorney is scamming some good billables out of you for zero work cuz this ain’t going anywhere. You do not have halfway near enough for a defamation case. You can pay $500 to an attorney to send a cease and desist which nobody has to abide by as a scare tactic and then when the behavior persists your attorney will let you know that’s all he or she can do. Where do you see companies suing ppl for bad reviews or even false reviews? Lol. There’s a reason why. So pour yourself a glass of wine or something and calm down and move on your life and business. Maybe institute better business practices that don’t include lecturing, threatening or intimidating customers.

if she thinks you’re letting scammers post fakes that’s her opinion. Go and waste some more money asking your attorney about ppl voicing opinions. Maybe you should let ppl in your group say when they received a fake instead of protecting questionable sellers.

also, u forgot to log out and post this on ur fake account
This is an incredibly unfair post. If someone is going to throw around baseless accusations and then just not come back to elaborate, it’s totally understandable that the person in question would come and defend themselves. You’re obviously taking the same view as Alyssa going by your second last sentence and as someone who is in that group and who has had bags authenticated by Zeko, I’m genuinely curious to hear more about these allegations.

I'm confused. You do realize TheRealReal and authenticate4u are companies that provide different services right LOL
I really hope you're not a lawyer because you seem to have not done your research. TheRealReal is a website that sells preowned goods - if a customer receives a fake, they very well could sue the company for not doing their due diligence and living up to their authentication guarantee. Similarly, if someone posts about TheRealReal and says they received a fake, TheRealReal could sue that individual for defamation. Most likely they will reach out to that individual and ask questions to figure out what happened before suing. Authenticate4U, on the other hand, is an authentication company ONLY and is not selling merchandise - they do not ever say something is 100% authentic, but rather state it is simply only an "expert" opinion, probably to prevent being sued. Zeko also runs an authentication company (and also resells on her instagram page, but that is neither here nor there). More relevantly, Zeko, however, has said she can with 100% accuracy stop fakes (see post #1,006) - so yes if someone (anonymously) claims that they got a bag authenticated by Zeko and they somehow found out it's fake through other methods, and then posts about it without consulting Zeko, it's definitely okay for Zeko to ask questions and wonder why someone is sullying her name.

Her facebook group does not guarantee this 100% authentication, it seems that only her website does. So if someone, let's say, sent pictures to her website and Zeko said it was authentic, but it comes out that it's in fact fake, then the onus rests on that person to prove the bag is fake (which I haven't seen in my many years of knowing Zeko, btw). But here I'm really not sure what Alyssa is implying - it seems she wants to say that superfakes were posted on the facebook group? But this is irrelevant since Zeko authenticates only through her website. It's a non-sequitur. Hope this makes sense, miss lawyer.

Confused also why Alyssa has disappeared..... we are waiting for the evidence, please!

I’m not in any Facebook groups and don’t know these ppl. I saw somebody throwing out baseless scare tactics and called it out as I find THAT unfair. I stand by what I said. Call it unfair if you want but nothing that’s transpired is gonna win anyone a defamation case so the complaints are null and ppl can give bad reviews on any company they want freely. Like I said, do U see the real real threatening to sue people? Keep calm and carry on

she can ask whatever questions she wants. But what she was she was threatening to sue for defamation and using intimidation tactics. My point was she does not have a defamation case. Did u get that?

Nice to know that there are some other real lawyers on here. I have no interest in going back and forth, and certainly don't see a need to defend my professional credentials. My point is, one cannot be allowed to destroy someone's reputation based on false allegations. The original poster should name the person she is accusing of participating in criminal activities, because the truth is a defense to libel or defamation. No one has to pretend to be a lawyer, create fake accounts or make empty threats; she should name the accused, and that's when my job begins. Until then, I rest my case!

Having said that, I have instructed my client to delete her posts because until the OP or anyone else has the guts to call her name, she has more productive things to attend to.

For those who are confused, Zeko and ZeLegal are obviously not the same person!

If the person who holds herself out as a lawyer, believes that the OP isn't seriously close to committing libel, then one has to question her professional judgment, as this area of law seems to be outside the scope of your legal expertise.

If you or anyone doubts that I am a lawyer or how good of a lawyer I am, you should name my client as the accused!

Sorry but where did she threaten to sue for defamation?! And what intimidation? Are you confusing two different people? She just said she got her attorney involved, I assume you get advice rather than sue anyone.
I’d also say the baseless accusation was made by Alyssa so really not sure what you’re talking about

I don't think ZeLegal and Zeko are the same person... regardless, even if that were the case, I don't see any difference between someone claiming that Zeko allows superfakes (as Alyssa did) and someone claiming they will sue. At this point it's just a matter of she said-he said and I'm quite bored by the whole thing. I do however wonder why it seems you allow for Alyssa's claims but seem to have a weird issue with Zeko's.

ANYWAYS I want the evidence, and if that's not happening, I'll just watch a tv show to get my fix.

You should be ashamed to identify yourself publicly as a lawyer. It's hard to know where to start, since you seem oblivious of basic things such as the difference between defamation and libel. FYI, the accusations made are libelous. Since you hold yourself out as a lawyer, and you believe that the OP has not committed an actionable offense, advise the OP to name the accused; or better yet, since you are so mighty and powerful, and are a legal expert, you should name the accused. I would love to make an example out of you.

lmao hmmm if she hasn’t named anyone then what is the issue??? Are u saying that if someone posted on a website “xyz sold me a fake bag” or “xyz incorrectly authenticates” that a judge would find in your favor if you sued them?? Lmaoooo. You’re not a lawyer and she can say whatever her opinion is of your or “your client’s” business lmaoooooo. It would be a tragedy if these scare tactics actually worked on her or others. No other authenticators are this unprofessional. Are you billing “your client” for this time? This is not how someone’s legal representative attempts a fake cease and desist over the inter webs lmaoo

they certainly are, she literally just made a second account to pretend to be counsel. Again, that person is not winning a case and a judge will laugh her out the courtroom if she tried to sue someone for saying they got or saw a super fake. This whole thing is so pathetic. If u do good business let that speak for u. You don’t see every brand going after bad reviews

You have seriously got everything mixed up lol. They’re definitely not the same person. If you really are a lawyer, you don’t come across as a very good one. Sorry.
You have somehow dragged this poor woman into some misunderstanding that you created and it’s really bloody weird.

Actually I’ve seen a bunch of these “resellers” in the groups are selling REALLY good superfakes. I think some of them are friends with the admins, one in particular claims to be an expert authenticator yet this person let’s these superfakes from her friends/ people they’re cool with fly. And since the admin says they’re “authentic” they person buying at a steep premium doesn’t bat an eyelash. I won’t name any names (not trying to catch a lawsuit lol!) but quite a few people have been scammed this way and if they try to speak out or make a post about a well loved reseller who sold them a fake, it doesn’t get approved and they get threatened with a lawsuit. I know there are good sellers and people just trying to sell items they don’t want but I don’t trust any of those fb groups.

I’m with you on reporting those groups and “resellers”

Alyssa:

Your allegations are libelous and are actionable. If you have evidence that an authenticator, who is also the admin. of a Facebook group, is engaged in criminal conduct, you should name the accused. You will not be allowed to destroy someone's reputation by making baseless allegations or by insinuation.

I look forward to being able to view the evidence you have to substantiate your allegations.

Speak or forever hold your peace.
