I thought it was 10%, it's 20% now? That would be amazing.
I only got a 10% bonus from FP this past weekend. It was still 10% a week ago...

But atleast it is more hard work now than just putting name on a list and snatch from a real buyer !I don't believe that will help. They will likely just get friends or family members to buy the bag under their name.
Also, I honestly don't see what's wrong with purchasing 1 medium and 1 mini. It's not like she bought multiple bags of each, that would of course be very problematic and unfair. What if someone really loves the color and really truly just wants to have it in two sizes and doesn't even plan to sell ever....that shouldn't be allowed anymore?
Well after seeing a mini rose claire chevron being sold at $9000, nothing surprises me any more. Also saw a caramel medium Chanel 19 being sold at $7000+ and shipping. This is very frustrating! And has anyone noticed how they are all defending and explaining the markup/premium prices on their instagram pages through stories? Oh please!!! I just roll my eyes and move on...An IG reseller is selling the highly sought after 21S light pink CF for $8550 + shipping. That’s almost 1.3x markup of the $6800 retail price and the profit margin is around 25%. Wow I believe this is even better than the average profit margin for Chanel itself or other luxury retailers like LV. To make things worse they don’t even want to pay for shipping. Wow......
Yes know who you are referring to and I just thought it was ridiculous to be gushing about having two of the most in demand bags (apparently) one minute and the next it’s not her cup of tea! And then the cheek to even mention she is selling for a profit and not offering to her audience within the ‘handbag’ community first - I mean course it’s up to her what she does but just shows the pure greed. Everyone wants to make a quick buck and become a ‘reseller’ or source bags for others nowadays it seems, just because they have a good relationship with their SA and can get these so called unicorns. It’s not just the ‘official’ resellers to battle against it seems.I read through this thread, and am so glad I'm not the only one who feels a little nauseated by everything that's happening. On IG I saw someone get their hands on a medium caramel flap. Then (very) shortly after, also get a mini caramel flap. Next, they posted a bunch of photos gushing about how amazingly lucky they were to get their hands on both unicorns. A month later, they are selling the mini to FASHIONPHILE, and didn't even hide with how happy they are to be getting a generous offer. Cue comments begging to pay whatever FP is offering. It's madness, and I immediately unfollowed. At the beginning, I wanted to give the benefit of the doubt and thought: ok, some people like to collect the same color/color family. But then it became clear that instead of turning the mini down, or returning the bag for someone else to have a chance, they wanted to take a bunch of photos with both caramel bags for content and then resell for profit to fund the next bag. I personally don't care for the caramel flap that much, or chasing "unicorns" for that matter, but I know there are tons of people who do and deserve a chance. To hoard a bag for likes and then to sell to FP, where you KNOW they are going to price gouge...the whole thing really rubs me the wrong way.
I just scrolled through IG and I know which IG seller you’re referring to. This is just disgusting. An IG reseller is selling the highly sought after 21S light pink CF for $8550 + shipping. I'm shocked someone was willing to pay more than double the cost of retail. They must have felt they couldn't live without it. This is why Fashionphile will continue charging these prices. There's will always be a buyer.I was curious if the caramel mini rectangular bag on Fashionphile would actually sell at this exorbitant price so I took a screenshot... and it sold!![]()
I agree with you. It is up to the buyers to put a stop to it. Just don't buy premium price bags people!!This will never stop or slow down until buyers stop buying from them, I remember this on eBay years ago.
This reminds me of the sports/concert ticket reseller tactic of pricing one pair of very good tickets WAY above the rest of the tickets on a ticket resale site. People think the most expensive tickets are the best ones in the house, when in reality you can probably still get some from the box office. Taking advantage of uneducated and unsophisticated buyers.I was curious if the caramel mini rectangular bag on Fashionphile would actually sell at this exorbitant price so I took a screenshot... and it sold!![]()
Wow 10 bags makes me wonder if they’re all authentic. Its just ridiculous these resellers can get away with these markups because stupid people actually buy them! If everyone refused to give in to these extortionate prices the resellers have no choice but to back down.
I read a fb seller had 10 of the classic flaps in rose clair!! Greedy hoarding so many bags!
