Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

Please if you quote then actually quote what I wrote. I never wrote you can purchase what you want. My point was that the experience is that you go in and create an experience while at Chanel is more digital and hunting for stuff. Hermès SA doesn’t utilize this way of selling.
Pre pandemic , it was like that. I've been shopping with chanel for 10 years and it used to be like that no matter which chanel boutique I went into. You got the experience. I rarely used my phone to text my SA back then. It's just a digital time. I got a few LV things for the first time last year and my experience was the same with LV - texting, calling, hunting the website. I just chalked it up to the pandemic.

Hopefully things will get better everywhere..Can't wait to travel or wear lipstick and real clothes lol . Nothing is normal right now.

i agree i have always found what i wanted without any hassle even without a shopping history in a specific boutique. i have no chanel boutique in my city so i would call any of the boutiques in my country, ask the item in vague terms (black large boy bag, beige woc, crystal cc earrings) and would get a message back filled with photos of the items they have in their inventory of that category (black boy bags in all sizes, large boy bags in all colors, all crystal earrings etc.). i would see if i liked anything and if not i would message back a thank you.

I was after the bucket hat from 21P and got so tired of being told it was sold out in all of Canada yet every single reseller and personal shopper had access. I don't know how I feel about it, they all charged 200-300 dollars USD more than buying in store and that doesn't even include the customs fee I will for sure get hit with. It's just not fair.
I completely understand you, I went to five stores in Paris and it was all sold out without any option to order it.

Blame the fact that you aren’t loyal to an SA for not getting a bag you want? Are you kidding me?

why would an SA favor an occasional buyer over a reseller if he/she can guarantee themselves commission hand over fist?

with resellers around who cares if you’re SA has a sweet spot for you! They’ll sell to someone they want to sell many things to.

plus who freaking has time to kiss *** just for a freaking bag, aren’t they taking our money and getting commission already.

sorry it’s where I draw the line. And at resellers. It’s a reseller that tells you, you just don’t have a good enough relationship with your SA. Bc it’s not their personality getting them all the bags, is the promise of huge commissions.

I can’t believe how much hatred is on this thread, people hiding behind screen names reporting people with public profiles. It’s not hard to figure out who you are and ruining ones business unless you’re sure comes with consequences.

Plenty of the resellers are you- buying bags that are available you don’t want and selling thru them to make a profit. If you want to blame someone blame Chanel or blame the fact you return a lot or aren’t loyal to a SA. Not all resellers and Personal Shoppers deserve to be maligned.

The poster on here who said she would buy and turn in, that’s terrible. I have worked with a few of these resellers and they’ve helped me and I’m happy with their services. The ones I know work hard and long hours answering your questions.

This is all over a few bags? How sad. Some of the peeps mentioned here need to be called out but to go after all of them with so much hatred is another level.
This is not just for over a few bags if they repeat seasons after seasons.

It also wouldn’t surprise me if some SA’s are getting something extra from the resellers.

Also what i found absolutely shocking is how Fashionphile seems to be getting a lot more inventories than TRR and other websites and marked all these items at a higher price than the retail price. It's starting to get a little crazy, FP started to look like the Stock X of luxury bags or something.
I’ve been wondering why they have so much new merchandise too.

im the poster you’re referring to who reports the serial numbers to Chanel so that the buyer helping the reseller can be banned. Sorry not sorry but if you are breaching Chanel’s terms of service which specifically state you can’t buy a bag with the intent for commercial purposes or reselling then YOU are in the wrong and yes I will do my small part to get you banned as a buyer so u can stop facilitating these resellers who take bags away from actual customers.#sorrynotsorry

*cues Demi Lovato* and it’d be nice for me to take it easy on ya, but naaaaaaa

Noticed this too. FP seems to have a lot of new Hermes bags especially the evelyn tpms and the picotin 18s. We all know those are also hard to find.

i have sold chanel bags and other designer bags that i don't use. never in my life i have put a premium price or any price higher than retail on my bags. that is not ethical to me. so coming to this forum and saying everyone would love to make a profit from selling a chanel bag is wrong and false. i sold my chanel bags after 5 years and the price i sold them for was below the price i bought them for, because they were used. even if they were brand new, i would never ever sell anything above the retail price, ever. don't compare people with integrity with yourself or any other scamming reseller please.

thank you! We need more ppl like you! I don’t mind ppl selling to get their money back but at least be reasonable about. I don’t want to pay the same price for a 20 yr old vs a brand new bag. It’s highway robbery! “Vintage” or not. It’s just not right.

Im not a fan of these consignment websites that are meant to sell preloved items because they also seem to have the newest and most desirable items for ridiculous prices. If they really were just preloved items they should not be selling and making profits from hard to find items.
