Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

I saw one last night for $7,615 and it’s still there now. It’s in 17 carts.

Imagine paying $3k-4k over retail for a bag with a crooked flap. I cannot. When I got my mini white iridescent I picked the best one Bc the other 2 had crooked flaps which coco handles are prone to Bc of Chanel’s decline in quality. Never would I ever pay that much over retail. Fashionphile should be ashamed. Their prices have been ridiculous for a while now but this takes the cake!

I dont believe the whole “currently in 17 carts” or in other websites it’s like “10 left”. It’s just another way to try and pressure potential buyers into purchasing the item.
Also, Fashionphile is one of the worse websites to purchase from, they upsell everything so drastically just so the seller and the website wins as much money as possible while the buyers purchase a bag thats almost double the price. Ridiculous.

Tracey Szeyxxx, TLA and I have never had a transaction with you but it seems you go out of your way to continue to smear and taint our reputation and branding. We do not tolerate harassment, bullying and unfounded claims. This matter has been referred for legal action.

Whilst I am sure you have good intentions as sometimes sharing is caring, but please check facts before publicly broadcasting these types of statements.

Timeless Like Audrey is a reseller and acts as the agent of owners of bags. Bags are placed in our possession on “consignment”. We are entitled to direct where payment is to be made. If the item is our own stock then buyers would be directed to pay into our account. If it is stock belonging to a third party (a personal shopper/supplier), a buyer would be directed to pay directly to the owner’s account. We bill for our service periodically and this this is very normal practice. We are also not obligated to disclose who our contacts are and how our business operation is set up.

Thank you for your understanding.
LOLOLOLOL you kill me. BRING IT! You have no ground, no basis and have no idea who I even am do you?? What an incredibly ridiculous thing to come post on here, actually believing you have some merit? Or ground? That only underscored everything everyone says about you, not the opposite.

We don't get future release pictures. All photos on our page are items received in from owners who wish to consign. Whilst they are current releases, they are indeed purchased from private owners who wish to sell. We are but just the middle man - car dealer, real estate agent. To encourage everyone on this page to report all reseller pages isnt right or fair. Most of the resellers I know are at-home-mums doing this on the side to support their family and young children. I run a consignment business with 4 staff - they too have families to support and have no interest in these bags. It is their employment and their livelihood. Totally understand the frustration but attacking the platform or middle man isnt the answer. Thank you for allowing me to share!

Fair enough. Our page has a lot more preloved items than new items however a screenshot of a listing of a new piece we had and 3 more coming (all from private owners) was targeted and everyone rallied in to encourage reporting to have it shut down. There was no real evaluation of what the IG handle's business model was. Just food for thought. Thank you!

Thank you for your input but as resellers we dont only sell new items. We have more preloved than new. To rally everyone to report our page and many other pages because of a few new pieces listed is not nice or right. Check the page before judging one post perhaps?
I don’t think this person is telling the truth that all current season hard to find bags are from their clients to consign with them. I happened to inquire about a hard to find bag with her a few seasons ago, and she specifically said that she had bought TEN of the same bag, and she had bought them to resell! I have screenshot to prove.

I saw a caramel mini on Fashionphile yesterday and it sold within seconds for $6,800. I know they are technically not a reseller with a social media platform but what they are doing (inflating prices to correspond to seasonal color madness) is no less shameful than what a reseller does. It's all market manipulation and price gouging. The blame should also be shared by the buyer(s), because the prices and resellers only exist because people use their services.
Wow $6800 is insane! I asked a few IG resellers the cost of the caramel mini and they ranged from $5150 (ships from outside US) to $5300-$5500 (ships within US so no custom duties). I can’t believe the one on FP sold within seconds!! I’m thinking maybe it’s people with FP credit that pay these marked up prices? Regardless, that’s horrible of FP to price gouge!

OK...this kind of makes me sad...why on earth would anyone (even if you're super wealthy) pay that kind of premium??? It's a BAG! I wrote on another thread that I was lucky to get the coveted small Rose Claire classic...it's very cute...I haven't used it yet but I like just looking at it.

HOWEVER I had given up on getting it because they were delayed...I would not have paid $6201 for it. I would have gotten over it in a couple weeks...Another cute pink/blush will show up in a future collection. If I miss out on a handbag so be it!

It looks like @XXLAM88 just joined TPF today and all her posts are in this thread were in defense of resellers. Now, I don't know why she just decided to join TPF now or if she has been a member under a different name, I feel something is fishy here. Being a new member, I hope she will find out soon enough that this forum is to voice out our opinions and questions etc and we are not here to fight with one another. :hrmm:

I have spoken to a SA who told me they don’t get minis in that store. Months later, she told me her largest clients are resellers and she makes most of her commissions from resellers. Anytime I have asked for anything, I’m told “she’ll keep her eye out for me.” Yet, I never get a call.
Sadly this seems true - I’ve been asking an SA to look out for a caramel mini from hk, She’s told me it is doubtful she will get more but will look out for me. I’ve just been directly into this forum as someone has mentioned that the exact store had caramel deliveries yesterday - same time I was told there are none! It’s insane. Unfair. But what can we do?!

I came across this consignment/reseller website (www.ayainlove.com) and the prices are almost double retail..like this Coco Handle from 21P selling for over $7K! They have lots of bags marked as "sold" so there must be people buying this..I'm new to Chanel and started purchasing bags last year but can't believe how hard is to get a bag from a recent collection.
