Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

I can't buy the newbie paranoid theory if they reached out to the Sa number 1 who could also be reached by calling into a major department store and transferred to the Chanel boutique. Still seems suspicious when you refuse to give at least your first name as at least a friendly guester once this font made contact with the Sa with the info I gave them. Now the font locates the merchandise and now they are thinking about purchasing? I also being nieve gives Sa number two information to this font that requested second hand bag also. Two different Sa two different locations. After the interaction with Sa number 1 this font doesn't bother to respond back to me via pm which could have destroyed my relationship with my Sa if we didn't have a friendly relationship. Even as a newbie I'm sure the Sa would have explained the process of having a history to do a phone purchase. Like conversations was discussed in these threads about post history and interactions and recent join dates I'm going to be a lot more cautious about giving out Sa information. For me lesson learned.

How often to you message your SA to see if the item you wanted has arrived in store?

I'm a newbie to the world of Chanel...just got my first SLG but the bag I want is of course not available. I connected with the SA that helped me with my SLG purchase to let her know I'm interested in X and if she could keep me in mind. But I don't want t be annoying and keep messaging her but I also don't want her to forget about me...

I try to message between every seven to ten business days. One Sa knows I will pop up at their store like right after a launch to see the lookbook. I usually try to reach out towards the middle to towards the end of the weekday. I don't even bother on weekends. Good luck.

this is interesting to hear. I don’t reach out to my SAs too often as I don’t want to seem to be a bother but understand they must have other clients. Do you mind sharing how your approach conversation every 7-10 days? “Hi! How has your week been? Did my item show up this week?”

Just a friendly. Hi Sa name . This is....( your name). How are you doing? I'm just checking in to see if there was a recent shipment of new stock ( item your looking for) example handbags, costume jewelry, etc... Always wish them a wonderful day or if it's around the holidays a wonderful holiday. I usually don't say if my item came in to me if the Sa have you in their contacts they already know what you have requested.
Since there's a delay with some of these launches you could be more specific with asking any shipments of 22P or 22S come in?

Oh wow. I was too shy to text to remind about updates after 3 months. Lol. Btw I received a quote from fashiohile about my mini rectangular. I submitted it just because of curiousity to see what they will offer. I wouldn’t sell it anyway. But I received a reply that they are not going even give a quote because they have “too many similar items in stock currently”. So I guess market is flooded with resellers items because I don’t think that everyone has decided to sell their minis at once. I think I’ll just get a black classic instead of black mini. Hopefully Chanel won’t increase prices on those soon. F6947624-710E-434D-9B4E-6D36F1224747.jpeg

This is great to hear! Once too many people decided to be sellers the market crash because supply(and price!) is higher than demands. I am seeing Chanels all over selling platforms that has not been sold for MONTHS even after beings discounted. it has slowed down a lot. Only very famous sellers (or heavily discounted item) manage to make sales.

Hopefully, people stop paying premium prices to resellers and resellers will stop buying purses to make a profit and will go and find a real job. Lol

Good! I hope they have to sell their stock below store price and lose a huge profit so they think twice about hoarding again.

Just saw someone on fb sell the new caramel mini for close to 7k. I was gutted because they bought it from my local boutique that told me the reserves were full. It instantly sold and they removed the listing already.
It’s crazy. Almost double of price. Maybe some of SA do that or have friends who resell and split profit with them.

did you screenshot it? I would rat that person out so fast since they had the audacity to admit where they scored it from.

Honestly the people buying from these resellers are just as much of a problem as the resellers if not more. Why are you paying $3k over retail for a bag and color that Chanel has already shown us they bring back? Even if there was a price increase on minis if this color comes out again next year the retail price will be cheaper than what that person purchased a reseller mini for. If people took a stand and just refused to buy from these resellers then they would not have any incentive to resell, but people would rather feed the reseller cycle than wait.

I know that we can all choose to do to whatever we want with our money but everything has a cause and effect. We can’t have a genuine conversation about how infuriating bag scalpers are unless we address why there’s even an incentive to do so.

Sorry to hear. I saw on FB group once a girl was traveling to Spain n post on FB group of her tried on so black c19 pictures n ask if it’s worth to purchase. Next post on her personal FB account is her reselling the so black c19 above retail. It’s really unbelievable ..

I took a screenshot but I’m not sure if I should rat her out. Especially since I have no sales history in the store. I asked for the bag multiple times since January. She originally listed it for 7200 but sold it for 6200. Way overpriced.

It’s the Troy saks boutique if anyone else would rather do it lol.

I am first curious to know if reporting such individuals help? Does anyone know and have ever done this?
