Resellers getting Chanel items first and selling for premium

I would guess this reseller had four friends who immediately infiltrated the wish lists. Chanel will not sell multiples of hot items not even to VIP clients. Resellers are ahead of this game even more so than genuine addicted clients, simply because they now have a vested financial interest.

My advice nowadays is to avoid looking on social media to do your shopping. Go into the boutiques and purchase what they have on the shelves available that day, just like we used to do before this madness started. I never ever look to see what others are buying, I walk into my local boutique talk to the staff members and look at the handbags on the display and say yes, this is nice I’ll buy this one, thank you and goodbye. No stress or overpaying for something that is all over my Insta feed.

In the US that is close to impossible because the shelves are usually bare in store due to people reserving everything prior to launch.

Resellers selling fakes isn’t surprising to me at all. It’s only a matter of time before people start finding out the hard way they’ve been scammed going the Reseller route.

Only one thing in this photo is considered a bag (the heart to the upper left). All 3 of the other items are considered a SLG. So one person probably got the heart bag and 1 heart SLG. Another person got 2 SLG. I don’t think this is a good example of resellers being enabled more than ever. In the past a reseller would have 8 of these hearts and more than one would be the actual heart bag.

Resellers are still getting stock and being annoying but they aren’t hoarding as easily.

agree. I do this at my local flagship store in NYC. Even pre Christmas with empty shelves on the first floor, there were still some very cute bags including a classic flap with printed or painted camellias and a small tie dyed chanel boy.
