This looks amazing! I'm so impressed. Like many others have said it looks like the amarante, which is a gorgeous color! I'd never have any idea this was a diy job! What will you use to polish the zipper? I can't wait to see that part too. Congratulations! You did a beautiful job.

Thank you so much...
As of now the zipper has some residue of the dye which i believe will pretty much be removed by wiping (taking a break from it)..the inner zipper has still its golden color so i will leave it alone. The outer one, some of the gold coat on it had faded and the silver color is now showing (arrived like that)..I am still debating if I will just let it be right now or buy a metal coating(gold) to coat it which I never tried in my entire life.
The only money I spent was for the wallet..the dye was a two year old left over dye, the pond's was the cream my husband used for his leather jacket:D, the kiwi had been available for polishing our shoes and the cotton shirt I used in wiping and polishing was an old one which was ready to be disposed.. If i find a good sale of metal coating then maybe i'll try to coat it:)

It's amazing! I'm really happy for you. It's totally worth it for the price you paid; I never would've known. It looks amazing. I've seen people use brasso on vintage LV hardware. But, if it's worn off your idea of a metal coating is much better. The zipper is not even noticeable with the stunning dye job. Impressive. Congratulations !

Yes, actually we also have a brass cleaner here but on what I read, LV changed the hardwares of their products from brass to silver coated with gold. There was one who used brasso on the hardware of her few month old LV and ended up removing the gold coat of it! :( So it's a no-no for me unless I would want a silver zipper though I am tempted to do it:D Silver is not bad..it's just the inside zipper is still gold with no any sign of silver on it:)

I'm thinking about doing an authentic Prada purse I pick up for $40 because the green patent leather pieces have horrible black marks. You're post gives me hope! Is Fiebing's the preferred dye for this kind of project?

Hello:) I am not really sure if fiebing's the best dye. As I mentioned on my previous posts, the dye I used was the only dye available here in our house. Check amazon maybe for the reviews of leather dyes;)
