Thank you..I have a 2 year old leather dye that is dark brown here which I used for a different bag so that is what i used. The color after polishing with ponds cream came out to be a really pretty color almost like amarante but lighter

I was going to say. It totally looks like Amarante :) Looks awesome!

The wallet came out fabulous! Is this your first repair project?

Yes it is! I tried researching but I only saw one who had a project like this and used magic eraser which was my last option here...so I was oh well..good luck to me!:) And got really that good luck!:D

What I learned from a good friend at authentication group at fb...when working with vernis, time is very important..give the dye time to sip in in the vernis/coated leather so when you polish it, the color will be even and really nice:)
Don't be too alarmed if you see a lot of dye coming out...that's what happened to me:D
So wear gloves!!! ;)

Did you have to prep the wallet before applying the dye or did you just apply the dye on top of the old color? Great job, came out really nice!
I just wiped it with a baby wipe and there was even no visible dirt on the wipe! Dried it then dyed it...make sure not to rush it and give it a time to dry, letting the dye sips in specially on the patent leather.:)
Thank you.
