Good luck @designerdiva87 . Also, the men at the leather shop and the shoemaker advised not to use the wool daubers to apply the dye, use a paint brush. Reason: The wool daubers absorb too much dye which in turns puts too much dye on the item at one time. The leather doesn't absorb all of the dye before it dries, which results in the build up and pigment residue.

I used the dauber and yep....waaaaay too much dye.
It no longer rubs off on my hands or skin but I still get a good bit on acetone pads even after wiping over and over for 20 minutes

Well here she is....in all of her glory!
My first foray into handbag restoration- LV vernis Lexington.

She’ll look pretty fancy with her gold crossbody strap

WOW - WOW - WOW!!! This is beautiful!!! You did great!!!! I'm sure you feel extreme proud of accomplishing this (even with all of the effort.) You have the Resolene or some type of sealer, right?
And she looks fabulous and fancy even without the strap.

So what's next? :graucho:

Thank you!!!! It’s nice to see the fruits of my labor haha. I plan on sealing it today with Resolene.
What’s next?? Hmm.....I don’t know. Maybe a Houston or a wallet. ;)
