Regrets, I've had a few...

I saw a lovely Italian brand handbag at TJ Maxx recently but wasn't crazy about the color... got home and checked evilbay and found it in a color I loved...overpaid for it b/c I "had to have it" then when I received it, I was checking it over and noticed the handles didn't seem all that strong... but since it's "new" and technically not a misleading description... it's just the way its made I am kinda stuck. Impulse buys get me every time! Guess I will carry it until the handles fall apart then worry about it. Live and Learn (the expensive way)!

All my LVs

I kept on buying one after another without even using them and have converted to CHanel and regretted all the dollars spent on them whereas I should have just start on Chanel early. Even if I would want to sell them now I doubt I will get much... Sigh

I regret spending a fortune on a Fendi Spy - I ended up hating that bag!
I also regret buying so many so called 'it-bags'....I sold almost all of them -the collection I have now reflects my real life. I am pretty sure that when I used to plunk down a credit card (another thing I no longer use - cash every time now) for a bag I was buying it for the life I thought I should be leading - if that makes sense.
Great thread, BTW.

I regret not getting a Birkin & a Kelly bag years ago when they cost less. Now I have to pay more for them.

I also regret buying many of the it bags that I have in my closet that I rarely wear. I was of the mindset that I wanted a lot of variety but aside from my Chanel bags I rarely wear the others. I could have bought a few birkins for the amount I've spent on other designers. :shame:
I plan to make up for it now though. :p
My coach bags I guess I regret the most. I know I'll never wear them again but yet I keep them. :noggin:

This!

I've never bought bags on impulse, and twice when I sold bags on eBay it was because 1) my taste changed, and now it's too small, and 2) the light blue color was too easily discolored. Other than that, I use all my bags, and research into every aspect about the item, before I make my purchase.

it wasn't as useful as you thought it would be ? Did you buy it on impulse and now sits in your closet?

No, not that. I did have a purse regret because of quality issues. I bought a Rebecca Minkoff mini MAC on her site on Black Friday. The leather was so terrible, so dry and thin. I got so angry and upset about the quality and the fact that I cannot return it. >:( Nowadays I only buy bags in stores with a return policy.

Ehm so far no regrets on handbags, just regret in the quality like some of em, I mean for expensive bags sometimes their quality lack, like sometimes the embellishment fell and went missing, so I have to spend some money on fixing it :(

I regret selling my chanel pearl bracelet. :( for bags, i do miss my chanel gst the most. The leather was entirely destroyed after the humidifer liquid seeped into the bag... i bought it on my trip to rome.

I send it to the bag cleaning but the lady said it was beyond help. So i asked her to throw it away for me because i couldnt bear to do so. I was so depressed for over a week. And only cheered myself up after i scored a celine phantom in paris.
