Regrets, I've had a few...

Overall: I regret giving into peer pressure and buying contemporary bags when I could have been purchasing the premium designer bags I loved. I let others "shame" me into not liking what I like just because they couldn't afford it. That was so crazy of me. LOL! So my biggest regret is I've had to do a lot of buying and selling to get to a collection I love.

Bags I should have never bought:
• I bought two Fendi B bags way after their "it" time. They looked dated and were hell to get into. I was glad to sell those off despite taking significant losses. Blech

The ones that got away:
• Chanel So Black - I should have gotten one when they were in stores but was cheaping out for no good reason. Now I absolutely refuse to pay the premium on resale.
• Preowned gold Chanel flap - It was pristine and priced really well from a reputable reseller. I just waited to long to buy so someone else snapped it up. 😢

The good thing is that styles change and there are so many beautiful bags each year. So, I don't usually have regrets for long. Something else amazing will come along and I'll end up liking what I eventually purchase even more than what I missed. 😄

My regrets were thankfully made when buying Belen Echandia bags, there were quality issues on some and others didn't wear well, I say thankfully because they weren't too expensive. I also bought some Massaccesi bags but the styles are so boring so swapped those. From here I moved onto premier bags and I choose wisely now and never buy in haste. My only premier regret was my first, a Ferragamo Verve bag that I couldn't love and sold it for a fraction of its cost. I want my hard earned wages to go towards something I love, not what a potential buyer will love [emoji23]

I dont have any regrets on my chanel bags. I only have two (small caviar boy & mini caviar coco handle with lizard handle) BUT i regret buying my salvatore ferragamo bag which i have been trying to sell off for months :( I think i need to learn the difference between liking a purse and loving it. You can admire a bag from a far but that doesnt mean that you have to have it or need it.

What is your greatest handbag regret? Was it passing up a bag you later couldn't stop thinking about? Or getting rid of a bag only to wish you'd held on to it?

I have one of each. In '06 I sold my Caramel Balenciaga Motorcycle bag on ebay for...wait for it...$300!! It was kind of before the craze took off so not as many buyers were looking. I regret it now mainly because I could get so much more for it! Which in turn would mean I could shop for more bags:sad:

I also recently missed the chance to BIN on a Marc Jacobs granite Palais Royal Jackie Bag on ebay. For $299!!!!! Still kicking myself for being too slow on that one:crybaby:

But I suppose if the bag is meant to be...
Lady Dior mini, I could afford a pale yellow one at their boutique but I chose to buy LV with the money instead. I do love Lady Diors though so perhaps a few more years down the road I can own one as I rebuild my savings.

I regret buying the Luella Bartley Gisele. Beautiful bag, but I prefer something with a shoulder strap. The opening is hell to get in and out of.
I regret every single black handbag that I've ever bought. I realized that I find them boring, and I'm not a fan of the color black. It doesn't matter how much I love a handbag, if it's black...no.
I regret not buying something that I love because I knew that my family would have something negative to say about it. Now, I could give two sh---s. My money. My life. I'm hard I handbags so I stopped buying cheapies a long time ago. The cost is nunya-none ya business. And, no. A Target bag may look the same, but it won't wear the same.

Balenciaga Gold Giant Hardware City - I regret buying it because it was in awful condition, and I was so shy to send it back to the seller because the seller and I have become "chummy". Aaaargh, me stupid.

Few regrets. Bought a mini tod's d cube..try to bond with it but i just like big bags..thankfully my mom really likes it and i gave it to her..and iregret not getting a coach 2nd gen leather glam tote with the waxed leather..had a denim glam tote and love it to bits but hesitate to get the one in leather..now i trawl ebay for deals
