Dear Ladies, Here comes a little "nut" for you. I while ago this scarf was listed on ebay. It disappeared quickly as the seller ended the auction early and my guess is that someone managed to BIN. I have tried to find out name of the scarf, designer and issue year with no sucess. Can anyone help?
I'm not ignoring this. I just don't know the answer.

brage, do you know what it says at the top?

Ladies! Thank you for your effort. These pictures is all I have but Sdsurfchick, I beleive you are right re, what it says on top.
Sophieg, thank you for the illustration, it really looks it could be the one the scarf is based on.

FYI, as nobody seemed to know anything about this scarf, I sent a request to Hermes and they wanted me to send it to them (which I was unable to do, not owning the scarf). So I guess even they don't know.

Let's hope it turnes up again somewhere.
Best regards,

I think I've found the original illustration that forms the basis of the scarf, but so far no connection with Hermes. The photo says that the original illustration is from Aeronautica Illustrata and is courtesy of the British Library

Well I have been "puqqleing" (my new fav word) this out ever since brave posted it, but no luck. Nice find, sophieg!

I'm sure this is an obvious question, but where is the penultimate guide to Hermes scarf colors? They all have names, I have found, and Wikipedia has this glorious listing of colors: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_colors

...obviously it does not contain Hermes colors per se, like "anthracite". I have seen the forum here on colors but they seem to be for bags, and not all in one place at that. Help!!

This site is pretty awesome as well.
English - http://translate.google.com/transla...tp://pourpre.com/&sl=fr&tl=en&history_state0=
French - http://translate.google.com/translate?hl=en&sl=fr&tl=en&u=http://pourpre.com/&anno=2

You find the colors under achromatiques on the left. And you will find anthracite in the french listing. Life's little wonders ...

Wow!! Awesome is right! Thanks sdsurfchick!

Oh...I may take that "thanks" back...more than I ever wanted to know; makes me feel so...inadequate! :cursing: unworthy! dumb! Who makes up these things??????
:pout:

Dear Ladies,

I am wondering if any of you know what the paw pattern in "Les Chats" by Daphny Duchene, is made of. I read somewhere that it's supposed to be Jacquard but when I compare it to a regular jacquard scarf it dis different. It looks more printed on.
Also the cat paws pattern is only in the center of the scarf, not at the borders.

TIA for any thoughts!
