Dear Ladies,

I am wondering if any of you know what the paw pattern in "Les Chats" by Daphny Duchene, is made of. I read somewhere that it's supposed to be Jacquard but when I compare it to a regular jacquard scarf it dis different. It looks more printed on.
Also the cat paws pattern is only in the center of the scarf, not at the borders.

TIA for any thoughts!
It is jacquard. It was also issued without jacquard.

Ouch! I KNEW you would say that! Since I love the jacquards now I have to look for one of those!! Gee, thanks sdsurfchick :graucho:

The least you can do now is put one in your "avalanche" sale (check out her website) but drat! ...let me know first!

RoseUSA, I do not have the answer at my fingertips ... it appears to be one of the bigger mysteries among H-data keepers. How about a few of us submit the photograph to [email protected] and post here when an answer comes through?

I love myesteries! I like the idea of getting Hermes' help directly and will certainly send an email too.

I wonder why some designs are made so hard to identify compared to others?

Can anyone tell me if the gold in this scarf is a regular "ink"? ...or a matte of some kind? It truly sparkles...

If it's like a blue one I used to own, it is one of those overlay processes and they did use glittery sparkly stuff. Scratchy, itchy, impossible to wear against your skin, by the way.

Thanks sdsurfchick. It definitely has the scratchy feel, but is quite unusual. I didn't really like this scarf at first but it is growing on me... I think I will keep a lookout for its companion piece "Reves d'Espace". When they "overlay" is that a screen as well?

Shame on me. I asked that question at the Metiers Festival and don't remember the answer.

I don't know the "cashmere blanket/shawls". Guess I will have to keep an eye out for one. Since I collect jacquards, I would be interested. Always on the lookout for a new one. Too bad the "Chat" scarf always goes for such money :(

I am pretty much finished as I think I have almost every jacquard pattern (especially love the kangaroo!).
