Nice word, "jacquardy"!

I am glad you had the name for "Cadrans Anciens". It is an odd design and I would love to know the story of it. From the pictures I could not figure out an overall theme, except that all the clocks seem to be set at 1:30? Very curious as to the meaning of this scarf. "Cadrans" translates to dials (in my basic translation app) but there has to be more to the story...

Dear everyone,
Have any of you any knowledge of attached scarf? I have tried to search the net and available sources without any result,
Thank you and best regards,

...and the only other help I might have is that Joachim Metz may have been the designer; he does so many "transpotation" scarves, and I believe there was a submarine commander? by the name of J. Metz...

...off to save my "black-spotted" roses. I'll check back later...

I have this as Le Foudroyant by Pierre Peron (don't know the year); no idea if that's correct. What an odd design ... part Vue du Carosse, Scarabee and Marine a Rames, with a submarine in the middle.

Thank you Ladies!

That solves one mystery and yes the design is very strange. I have seen so many designs lately that at least I have never seen before. Last night I saw this one on German e-bay. It looks like jacquard. I did not bid but are still wondering what this is;

:I just saw this referenced somewhere...I think it is one of those "riding school" scarves, but haven't a clue about it. Since sdsurfchick is NOT on vacation like she is supposed to be :p she will probably have the answer...

If I can find where I saw it I will let you know!
