Hi,
I am new to this group. I have a vintage Henri d' Orgny scarf that has "Le Sacre du Printemps". I've seen a few of this design similar but mine is a floral (purplish blues, pink, and light reds) and a gorgeous medium pink color. It has a tag attached. I located the signature in the pattern and the top of the scarf has "Hermes-Paris" with a small c inside a circle below the Hermes-Paris. Can anyone tell me the age of this and if it is an unusual pattern? Has it been reproduced?
Thanks so much!

Dear All,

There seems to have been a run of Tohu Bohu silks on Ebay recently, especially in blues, something I hadn't seen before.

Can anyone suggest where I might find the definitive list of colourways of TB's? (especially blues). Scarf Catalogue only has one blue colour but there seems to be more. Are there as many variations as the black?

So many questions - any answers appreciated!:yahoo:

Hope it's not too late to answer your question - I vaguely remembered this post and just came across it again. Not definitive but the longest list of twill TB colorways I've seen: http://forum.purseblog.com/hermes/t...-colorways-does-scarf-261635.html#post5590338

Hi Ladies,

I'm quickly surrendering to H Scarf Disease (meaning, I keep seeing gorgeous new ones that I feel that I can't live without -dangerous!).

I've got a question - I see a lot of Pierres d'Orient et Occident on the 'bay, but recently have seen two beautiful ones in a cafe au lait/pale mocha colorway.

I have not seen this CW on the H scarf archive or in luxury scarves - does anyone know when the mocha colorway was released? Also, is it sort of mauve-y? Does anyone have this CW and have thoughts about its usefulness or what it goes with? One seller remarked that it was not great with her suits, and I can see how it might be a challenge in my black and navy suit wardrobe, but oh is it lovely (oh are they alll).

I lived in Kenya from 2005 until 2007--during that time, I remember seeing a Hermes scarf with African tribal people on it online (I think they were the Masai of Kenya). I put it on my short-term "bucket list" to buy but was not able to do so in the year the scarf was being sold. I have been looking for that scarf ever since....does anyone know where I could possibly look to purchase it? Or even what exact year it was designed? Thanks.

I have an old Hermes scarf with a few marks on it. What is it ? and how much 1s it worth? Mainly pale blues, gold and grey colours.
Usual size: silk: title ARMERIA written in the centre belowscriptin latin and a romantic knight in armour.

Beachcat, Le Sacre du Printemps was issued in 1986. I don't think it has been reissued. It shows up from time to time in the secondary market; not too frequently.

It could be Persona, which was released in 1997, the year of Africa.

Elizabeth, it is impossible to know how much this is worth without detailed pictures and even then, it depends on who is shopping for it at the time. I have seen Armeria go over $500 and for a lot less.

Wow, this color is indeed rare. Much more common to see the black, blue and red ones. Lovely classic scarf.

Hi everyone,

I'm not sure if I should start a new thread for my question, I have done a forum search and not found anything conclusive. Basically, can the yellowing of older vintage scarves be cleaned? I take all my stuff to the Paris dry cleaners recommended by Hermes so the skill of my drycleaner is not in question. And I can't ask my drycleaner because I haven't purchased the scarf yet, just thinking about it (at an auction so there is no ebay link). Have attached a photo to give you an idea of the yellowing - any professional opinions?
Thanks in advance.

Hi qb20,
The yellowing could well be from residue from the chemical dry cleaning.
I'd give it a gentle wash and see how it improves.
Washing instructions are posted all over the forum - basically it's hand wash or wool cycle, cold water, use much less Woolite or Perwoll than the manufacturer recommends, keep the scarf moving in the water at all times. Remove wet (no spin cycle), pat dry between towels, spread on a dry towel to dry, touch up with a not-too-hot iron if necessary.
Lots of ladies here wash their scarves - you can, too!
Good luck!

Thank you so much! Do you know a ballpark figure of what it would be worth in EUC? I've seen a few but not this color...and I've never seen one for sale. I don't know if I'm allowed to ask this...so if not just disregard.
