I LOVE this design and have it in several cws. Provenance was in subtle colors - gold, blak, brown, grey green, blue. Pari Qui Roule came in black/red, dk blues, white/pink, white/ yellow, white/olive

The wheels are so cool due to the 3D effect !

MargieB that is a lovely scarf, I have been admiring the Paris Qui Roule on Luxury-scarves for a while but already have a pink/black/white scarf so I couldn't quite justify it. Good to know it's also called Provenance, maybe I'll be able to find one in another CW now!

I think spray starch makes a scarf too stiff, but, others use it with success, depends in part on your skills at ironing

IMHO the starc:tdown:h sticks to the bottom of the iron and gunks it up

so true! AND it also leaves marks on the scarf itself, if sprayed directly onto it (my experience) I have not washed the scarf yet, but I am hoping the marks will go away. Starch banned in my house!

Recently I found this Scarf in the attic in my parents house, where I dumped it more than twenty years ago. Back then a SSO gave it to me and I was not very excited. Mind you, those were the eighties and cool twentysomethings did not wear Hermès scarfs!!!

Now of course, I'm in love with it and since I love horses and riding it's all the better.

Thanks to Rose, I found out a bit more about it: it's called Courbettes & Cabrioles, designed by Françoise Faconnet and the year is 1962!

Can't tell you guys, how happy I am to have found it!! :yahoo:
Maitai, that is my dream! to go in the attic and find an old H scarf! I have C&C too in a blue jean blue and fuchsia with the white background, it is vintage and very soft, but I did not find it in the attic :)
You look gorgeous with it

sorry, I am little late

I agree, it's a super design!
I have a Provenance in aqua/petrol and a Paris Qui Roule in orange/fuchsia.

Just bought this scarf on Ebay - can anyone tell me the name? thanks

Just received my Provenence, and I'm a little disappointed about the condition of the scarf. There are long stains along the folds. Like discolorations. Does anyone know what that could be? I would think it was stored in the box that it came in, but it looks like a storage stain.

Washed it yesterday, put "Spray and Wash" on it - it lessened, but the streaks are still there.

Anyone have suggestions?

Margie

I bought a vintage Selles a Housse from Ebay it arrived today but it has no copywrite on it. I think its 1967. Should I expect to see a copy symbol? There's no care lable but I'm not worried about that.

A 1967 issue would indeed lack a copyright, but, look to see if it has a tiny modern copyright they are easy to miss if you don;t know where to look - look at the straps holding the stirrups, don't rememeber which of the 4 corners , though , sorry

Okay, here are modeling shots of new Indian Dust (S/S '08) in the blue/aqua colorway! It's so beautiful :tender: :girlsigh:

streaks on vintage scarves.... yes it happens, but I wear my vintage scarves with pride, streaks & all, sort of as tribute to the 70 years history of the silk & the persons who wore them before me

Does anyone know the issue date for the Astrologie (Dies et Hore) scarf in the colorway with the mustard yellow/gold border? I'm not sure if it is a 1963 issue or from a later re-issue.

Thanks--P

Has anyone ever had a carre sent to Paris and pleated? I'd like to know your experience with this as I've got a few carres that would look wonderful pleated. Are you happy with the results? How long did the procedure take?

Thanks for any information you share.:flowers:
