Hi - I'm new to all this... would like to know if you guys think this is authentic or not???

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....MEWA:IT&viewitem=&item=250098077426&rd=1&rd=1

it's a mushroom scarf which i like (i'm into cooking!)
also wanted to know if u think it will be easy to find a jungle love in the black. I know it's been reissued but can't seem to see it on the H website. Why are they so sought after. Is there a particular history to them??? Thanks very much :smile1:

I would ask for a picture of that caretag, then post it here. Hard to say from just those pics. Some of the boutiques may have Champignons still in stock. Why not give them a call? You'll never question authenticity that way.

Jungle Love just seems to be a very popular pattern. Also, the artist, Robert Dallet, passed away this last summer. Some people purchased a scarf to pay him homage, like myself.

Thanks gga and hermesgroupie! I called all the stores in London and luckily they found the Black Jungle Love for me in Sloane St. I collected it today!!! I love love love it!!!!

Trying to track the champignons - i think i feel safer purchasing straight from the stores like u said hermesgroupie... worth a few more $s just to know it's authentic. Especially that i'm not a pro!!!

JJ, the scarves are getting faked so well even the pros are getting fooled. You really have to know the seller very well.

Hi, I have two that I am trying to identify. Any help? Also, I have a scarf that the tag says made in Italia. Is that authentic? I assumed they were all made in France. Thank you!

Hi you scarf aficionados! I authenticate bags, but have zero knowledge of Hermes scarves. Is there a source where I can read about what constitutes a fake? I bought a scarf on ebay (it's not one the THE known fakes) and it came without the little tag that's sewn to most of the scarves saying Hermes Made in wherever. Does that make it fake right there? I paid approx. $150 because there is a stain on it which might come out with proper cleaning, I don't know. It's not that noticeable if you have the scarf on. I'm just trying to figure out if I actually got an authentic scarf or a fake. I tried to figure this out before buying it but couldn't find an authentication source. Am hoping you guys can help me. Thanks!

Pursepushin, I have a link to an ebook that I can't find just now...will post as soon as I find it...also know the author, who's always delighted to keep people in the loop...pm me if you'd like.

HiHeels: It's Red Berries and is designed by Leigh Cooke. She also did the crayons, fuchsia, and a couple more (but I can't remember the titles off the top of my head.

Hi again,
Here's something I'm sure you will know about these scarves. I examined my first and only one I rec'd today and no where in the design is there the copyright mark for Hermes. It's my understanding that unless that mark is there the scarf is fake. Is that correct? I read that in a guide I found on ebay, but just want to confirm the veracity of that statement with you. I emailed the seller to say I'm confused about this missing item. Please let me know your thoughts ASAP, if you can. Thanks.

^^^No, that is not correct. Some earlier issues had no accent grave. And, to further complicate things, some issues of the same design have the accent and some don't. Neige d'Antan comes to mind. It didn't have an accent grave until the later years. So authentic Neiges are out there with and without the accent.

If you could post a pic of your scarf design and the Hermes logo, that would be helpful.
