I just joined purseblog after reading about Hermes scarf fakes. I was just about to bid on a Grand Fonds on ebay until I read Hello2703's caution in this thread about 2 previous ones on ebay being fakes. Please help....I'd like to get a Grand Fonds but cannot tell from current ebay photos which are fake. Does anyone have a photo of a genuine one?

Merrydish, post the auction of the scarf you like in the 'authenticate this' thread in the shopping section and then we can help you!

Would any of you be against buying the same design in different colors? I bought Decoupage dark green in Oct and Brown/Blue in November. I'm thinking of buying other colors, but am asking if I am missing out on other designs by only buying the same design :confused1:

I have a couple of designs in different colourways. Nothing wrong with that, IMO!

Thanks, here's an Hermes "Grands Fonds" I'm considering on Ebay although I prefer turquoise: Item number: 300053006558 By the way, how do you spot the counterfeit ones of this particular scarf? Also, do you know if Hermes plans to reissue this scarf? Perhaps that's the best way to buy it as ebay is rampant with fakes these days. I can tell with most of them, but I'm stumped when it comes to "Grands Fonds".

Also, does anybody know if "Regina" has been counterfeited? I'm considering this one on Ebay: Item number: 300053617275

Any advice you can give me on these 2 would be most appreciated!

Hi,

I have made a rule for myself that I won't buy from sellers who have names with excrements or swear words in them (once bought from a seller named kakalaba - which would be Hungarian for sh*tleg - voila, got a fake...). So, that's one thing.
Second, I would like my seller to be knowledgeable about scarves at least to some extend. This one isn't. Scarves can be described inaccurately: what's 'new' to them isn't necessarily 'new' to me.
There are not enough pics to determine if the scarves are fake or not. If you really really really want these scarves and want them so much that you take the risk of a possibly acrimonious transaction then go for it. If not, stay away. Another scarf will come and you will see your turquoise Grands Fonds will come your way!

Many thanks for your guidance on where to post my message re Grand Fonds . I will take care of that right away. I'm new to the site and am sorry if I goofed.

My original message will now to to the authentification area:

Thank you from pulling me back from the brink of possible disaster. I feel the same way you do and don't know what got into me.

Hi everyone, I am quite new to the purse forum and I have been reading all about the gorgeous scarves everyone has. I feel really ashamed as I have 5 Hermes scarves and I have never worn them. All 5 have been gifts and I think most of them were from about 1996 or 1997 and maybe 2 are from about 5 years ago. I am definately going to wear them from now on. My question is does anyone know the artist and or year they were from or what they were called as I would really like to know. Thanks in advance if you can help.

Hi, I already posted answers on the Hermes scarves thread.

Suzie, I really love your scarves - especially the last one (Chevaux des Moghols - which I would  to own and hopefully I'll be able to buy one one day in a nice colourway like yours). Sorry I don't know the details about your scarves - but enjoy wearing them !!

Hermesgroupie, thank you so much. Mine would have been from the first issue and I am sorry for the double posting. Thanks Jimmychoochoos for your kind words and I will wear them with a whole new appreciation now that I know who when and who they are by.
