Red Carpet Manicure

I was all set to finally buy the kit at Ulta and they were all sold out. I will be buying it at drugstore.com sometime today.

I'm mainly using this system to strengthen my natural nails so I can wear normal polish over it. What are the types of polishes to avoid putting over sog. Just the glittery types like nerd lacquer? Will normal glitter polish like zoya's work?

I don't see a reason to have to avoid anything. Other than maybe because glitters are hard to remove, so you might want to use them at the end of your manis, so when it's time to redo you can just soak the whole thing off. I've also noticed flakies seem to like embed themselves in the SOG topcoat, so you might have a hard time getting them off too. Or maybe you'd have to use a basecoat? I've never tried putting a basecoat under regular polish over top SOG.

Good idea. I was not planning on putting a base coat on over the sog. I will have to play around once I get the system

I wanted to try foils so I did 3 coats of Black Stretch Limo and used Martha Stewart foils in teal, green and orange.

Is it really? I went to Ulta today and I didn't even open it because the bottle looked very brown to me so I was thinking it was like Gelish's Sweet Chocolate. RCM is not to shabby on bottle colors but that is way off. The bottle is totally brown.

I saw Camera Flash and it was a glitter hot pink I've never found hot pink to be flattering on me at all.

Thanks about Best Dressed. I looked at a dupe list and there wasn't one listed for Samurai yet. I picked up 9 Inch Heels and it looked very Samurai like on the brush minus the glitter.

9 inch heels is actually a dupe for gelish starburst.

Yep I know the bottle is deceiving for sure I always pick it up thinking its my black from my box. But it is the dupe for samuri I will take a pick of my swatch for you today

My Ulta had MANY left and I found them in the clearance aisle in a bin on the bottom shelf. They even allowed me to use their current 20% off coupon.
