Has anyone brought any of their items to a Rebag store for quotes? If so, I'd love to hear about your experience. I'm traveling to Las Vegas next month and planning to visit their store while I'm there. I'm considering bringing a few bags I want to sell to get quotes on them. I know they have an online quote system, but I haven't found it very reliable plus all the negative experiences with people shipping their bags and getting lower offers... Thanks!
Yes. I haven’t done this in a few years but it went ok except one time when I agreed to a trade instead of a regular payout to get a higher amount towards another bag they never gave me the correct amount and kept telling me a manager would correct it and that never ever happened. It seems the company has no proper structure for issues. If you have anything go wrong there’s no one to contact. They really need to redo things. It’s nothing like fashionphile. Fashionphile makes things much easier so personally I wouldn’t do business with rebag again unfortunately.

DO NOT SELL TO REBAG.

Folks, I think they may be out of cash. They are running some sort of Ponzi like scam when buying bags from sellers.

My sister accepted an offer from them more than a week ago. Rebag received the bags, verified and confirmed the amount that was to be paid yesterday. Late in the day she received a notice from them stating they had an "error" on their end while wiring her bank and would correct today.

Today they say they "put the money in her online wallet" and that counts as payment. If she wants the money in her bank account, they are now taking a 3% fee. Otherwise she has to wait 30 days. The online wallet is store credit. It is not real money, nor what she agreed to. Nor are these the terms on their website right now.

I don't think they have the money they are offering for payouts. They are running some kind of undisclosed "waiting to sell to someone else before you get your money" game.

They are also stalling and refusing to return her bags.

I am so sorry to hear about these continuing problems with Rebag. They really do give the resale market a bad name. I’ve had such great luck shopping with Fashionphile and The Real Real. I’m glad you posted this in great detail so that others can be warned. Suggest you also post on Better Business Bureau. That’s what I wound up doing when I had a major problem with Rebag. Hope your sister finally gets paid soon. I never did get reimbursed for the Gucci bag they lost.

Rebag offered a decent buyout price for my Hermes TPM Evelyne - but after reading all of the posts here, I feel like not pushing through. I’m also worried that they would lower the buyout offer after reviewing my bag in person - can they do this?

So should I or shouldn’t I sell my bag to Rebag?

I would definitely check with Fashionphile first. My experience with Rebag has been nothing but negative. I saw that others also experience something similar in that they sent you a shipping label to purchase your bag and then tell you that the box has arrived empty. No reimbursement. I did a couple of trades with them and on each of the items they lowered the price once they received my bags. Concerning the loss of my shift bag to them, they claim that I should’ve read their terms and conditions. I will post them below. They are buried in their website. Mainly states that until they have the bag in hand, we the seller are responsible, no insurance whatsoever is include included with the shipping label they send you. IMG_7007.webp

Every one of these Rebag stories smells like a company in financial trouble, burying hidden costs in falsely inflated purchase prices.

A solvent company is straightforward with full disclosure of terms and risks in the quote itself. Waiting 30 days for payment is a gamble that they'll still be around to pay you 30 days later.

Does anyone else use REBAG frequently? I didn't see a thread specific to them.

I shop there now and again but have run into some oddities lately. The weirdest thing happened today - I put something in my cart but ultimately decided to not purchase. Within 15 minutes I get a text from someone asking me why I didn't complete the purchase and did I know I could get 0% financing in case I needed it.

A few weeks ago I got a text from an SA I worked with one time telling me to earmark some items because in a few days they were having a 10% off sale. This was also after I had put some items in my cart (but not checked out).

And I noticed a few weeks ago - during the 10% sale - they implemented a high restocking fee for everything on the wesbite, and now that restocking fee is gone. I imagine it'll come back during a sale and they are doing this to prevent returns during sales? It just seems shady to update your return policy every 15 days.

I feel rather invaded by them b/c of that text especially - I know companies track purchases all the time and make recommendations based on history, but I find it invasive to get a text basically asking why I didn't complete the purchase. They are obviously taking technology seriously and using texting to their advantage. I figure that is also why good items disappear off the site so fast - they are likely texting everyone who places an item in a cart and one of those customers will maybe bite.
Yikes, kind of like the modern day mailer…no one can imagine sending irrelevant flyers to everyone’s mailbox would be fruitful for a company but it’s just so low cost that even the fewest bites are valuable. That sounds so annoying lol

I have never sold to Rebag i recently got some really good quotes for my Hermes H watch, herbag and garden party. I'm considering it but I keep hearing horror stories which really worries me.
I got a really good buyout quote for my TPM Evelyne as well via Rebag’s app.

I live in NYC and have the option to drop off the bag at the Rebag store so I don’t have to ship it. I can also go to their warehouse in Brooklyn if they decide to hold my bag hostage and not pay me lol.

Please let me know your decision! I still have three weeks to decide whether to sell my bag to Rebag or not.

I dealt with Rebag. Sometimes their buyouts are decent, sometimes are low, like with all resellers in general such as Fasionphile or Yoogis . I got fair offers from them and got paid in a timely manner. They are a bit slow but in general satisfactory. I finally finished a trade purchase that took a while, but the bag I received today was in pristine condition and I am happy overall.

Thanks for sharing. Was your Rebag experience recent?

I plan to take my bag to their WTC store in NYC. A customer service representative told me over the phone that it can be reviewed by an expert there and the buyout can be finalized on the spot—rather than shipping it to the warehouse, which can take forever. I feel like dropping off the bag myself is the safest way to sell to Rebag.
